Was in town with my Best Friend for a girls weekend. We pulled up Yelp and came across this gem. They had good reviews so we decided to try it. Let me tell you!!!! I was not disappointed. I put myself on the waiting list it sent me a text saying to check in by 12:45 I checked in at 12:15 literally waited outside for 1hr for them to tell me they texted and called my phone I never received ANY MESSAGES OR PHONE CALLS! I call to find out why my time has expired for them to tell me they called and messaged me and gave my table away!! HORRIBLE THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I DONT GO TO BLACK OWNED PLACES! Food was delicious as usual. They were busy so the wait was looooong. I checked in early on Yelp but arrived at the restaurant a few minutes later & they didn't see the check in but it showed on my Yelp app so that didn't help. But with the exception of the wait the food & drinks were good. This was not my 1st visit & definitely not my last. Awesome service and food selections. The breakfast and brunch menus were very well done, and the presentation of the plates was great. Portions are perfect for the price. Nautica was awesome , she started off introducing herself and then asked if it was our first time at the restaurant. We said yes so she proceeded to tell us her all time favorite meals. She did it with energy and a big smile. She was so courteous and helpful and professional. The food was plentiful and as described. Jerk chicken and waffles great. Thoroughly impressed with the service we received here. The food was really good. We sat on the patio and met some other patrons. That really amplified the experience. My friends and I came to this establishment August 29, 2021 and was highly disappointed. Our server Ritchie/Richard approached our table talking very low with an attitude and was very inpatient. ....without presenting us with menus. We asked for hot sauce and never got it. He never came back to see if we wanted a refill on our water, we had to get the waitress from another table to refill our water. He never ask if we wanted separate checks...he assumed it was 1 check. The fish and grits had a good flavor....sauce was amazing. But the amount of catfish & grits was very disappointing. The catfish actually looked liked catfish nuggets. I went 8/21/21 it was my first time coming there I saw the ratings on this place and I said hmm must be good let's try it out. it was packed so that definitely let me know it must be good cause I had to wait. The atmosphere was laid back and calm I love how nice everyone is very helpful 🙂🙂🙂 when I got my food it looked delicious presentation was awesome 👌 but nothing could have compared to when I took my first bite.
