What kind of accounting services do you provide?
From setting up your books correctly, to entering journal entries, updating balance sheets, teaching clients how to read and understand the differences in their bookkeeping and financial reporting, to discussing with your CPA the best tax saving strategies.
Why is it so important for businesses to hire a great accountant?
You need someone who is going to work in the best interest for you, and you need to get you an accountant who is going to be transparent and honest from the beginning in showing you what is going on, where your money is going, and what needs to happen to maximize the operations and profits of your company.
What do you love most about your job?
Providing solutions and seeing people succeed. I believe that everyone is capable of great things, it's just letting people know that they have it in them by surrounding themselves with the type of individual who will help them themselves get there.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My family. I can provide the best results when I have the flexibility to be a mom, daughter, and business owner on my own terms without having to sacrifice one for the other. I've been successful in achieving goals.
Why should our clients choose you?
I've been through a good amount business wise, and also personally. I understand the balance of being a business owner but being empathetic and being one that still makes the hard decisions. You want someone who is in your corner and who has your best interest.
Bookkeeping
This can be done 100% remotely.
For this to be done, full access to your books will be required (QuickBooks can block certain information in an accountant's copy, this is so that customer information is blocked from me to see).
I will review your Profit and Loss detail statement for the past two years, review general ledger and journal entries that were entered and created, audit trail, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
If you do not have a set of books set up, and you have had a tax return completed, I will ask for your last tax return and all information for your transactions. I will help you create your chart of accounts, give you a starting balance (all will be tax-based) and a step-by-step tutorial on how to enter in transactions. If you have not filed a tax return, then we can begin by entering in your transactions.
My preferred use of books is QuickBooks, however I do have experience with Xero and Sage. If you do not have an understanding of accounting and are doing this yourself, QuickBooks will be the preferred method.
This is charged on an hourly basis at $40 an hour.
Business Coaching and Plans
You've got a plan, you know what you want – now you need to be held accountable for it.
Unlike a life coach, my concern is your business and you having a healthy balance of working in and on your business (s) and ensuring that you are having fun while doing it.
Of course, I will need to know a little about your personal life – the major details that do affect your business – and what your life goals are. From there, we will set up accountability check ins, adjust as needed, and move in the direction that you need to. I will provide you with tools to help you along the way.
The deliverable is a 20-40 page business plan that can be used for SBA loans and to meet requirements required by lenders. Please advise if you will be looking for funding. This is a 2-3 week assignment for $5,000.
