What kind of accounting services do you provide?
GAAP-centered accounting means Generally Accepted Accounting Principals. My firm supports a wide variety of diverse industry clients because all accounting is the same in principal; I have run and opened new banks and savings & loan associations and know the language to talk with your banks on your behalf. I specialize in all bookkeeping functions (record-keeping) and financial relations, i.e., accounting services, leading to accurate financial reporting (financial statements). Your selected CPA can then carry our completed work to successful tax filing(s).

CASH IS KING! Keeping your business financial house in order is crucial for understanding where your company has been and where it needs to go. A great accountant is as important as an attorney who keeps your legal affairs in order, a salesman who sells your products and supports the income stream flowing, or an experienced office manager who holds the office running smoothly. We all become critical pieces to helping you run a successful and profitable business.
What do you love most about your job?
It is balancing out and tying numbers together. It doesn't sound fascinating, but it's called reconciliation when you have a year's worth of company transactions to record and have their balance out to the financial institution's records.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I had a very successful run in bank operations management for over forty years, starting as a teller and working up to Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President. After the explosion of branch banking activity and the mergers and acquisitions in my industry, I decided to take my polished accounting skills and apply them to my own business, namely, DuVal Accounting Services LLC.

I can listen and apply my firm's skill sets to the needs and success of your business. There is no need to panic with me, no matter how backlogged or messed up you may feel your accounting records may be. If you a new start-up, I can facilitate setting you up correctly from the start and maintain you as we advance. In my direct industry, I often had the job of training personnel, which, when applied to the accounting services, I can guide, direct and train you or your staff.

I provide my services almost entirely online. Some clients email their work to me, and I support both the QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks online. I only work with Intuit QuickBooks. If online, I am invited in by you, the owner, and we both have access to your books. If desktop, I support within my company QB versions 2017 through 2024. We would then exchange data or files through Dropbox or a proprietary system called ConnectWise, which allows me to access your QB company files remotely by invitation only.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
I work exclusively from home, and my clients stay at their businesses.
