We ordered ribs, chicken, pulled pork, brisket and sausage, along with sides of Mac ‘n cheese, cole slaw, mushrooms and seasonal salad for a backyard reunion gathering. The St. Louis ribs received such raves from those present that their friends started sending emails to learn where the ribs had come from. Other raves came in for the Mac ‘n cheese, seasonal salad and smoked mushrooms. The catered affair, thanks to Durk’s and Ed, the cook, and Stefanie, the caterer manager, was a smokin’ success. So we took a chance when we came out of our appointment in Providence as the rain was a little better and went to Durk’s Bar B Q on Thayer Street. ..can I just tell you it was terrific!!! If you have the chance by all means GO...you won’t be disappointed...we tried the smoked barbecue wings, brisket, the pickles, cole slaw, and the corn bread...all were great...and then the dessert... banana pudding with caramel and the tres leche cake were outstanding! There was not one item we ordered that wasn’t completely fire. Brisket and Brussel sprouts were my personal favorite if I had to pick but also order the sausage and wings and don’t skip desert. Amazeballs!

We had the brisket, ribs, cornbread and potato wedges. Everything was delicious , flavorful, melted in your mouth. The only thing I would like to see is the cornbread made bigger and or get two pieces instead of one tiny piece, I kinda didn’t want to share it with anyone.
