What a wonderful place to start our trip!! The most comfortable bed (Camellia Room), the most gracious hostess (Harley), the most amiable welcome (Caleb), and the absolutely most delightful breakfast experience of our entire vacation. We felt like we were members of a family and staying at the family estate for the holidays. I cannot recommend Duff Green Mansion too highly and look forward to visiting Vicksburg again just so that I can stay here. Thank you, Harley, Caleb, and the rest of the Duff Green team for a truly enjoyable experience. More...

This place is beautiful! Great staff and breakfast. The tour is a must. We stayed in The Duff Green room. Beautiful top floor view with an antique claw foot tub. Alot of history here from the Civil War. We are already planning to come back here again soon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. More...

What a delightful stay I had in the Dixie room at the Duff Green Mansion. Was supposed to be a romantic evening with my husband, but a farm emergency kept him at home. I reluctantly went on alone. Everything was absolutely lovely. Harley was delightful. My room was elegant yet cozy. Breakfast was just what I needed, served in elegance with fine china, crystal, linens, and silver. Wish I knew the name of our tour guide (petite blonde). She delivered her talk as if it were the first time, with passion for her subject and had ready answers for all our questions. She really brought us back to the 1800s. When it was time to return to reality, I wanted to stay. Thank you, Harley and staff for making my visit so pleasant and refreshing. I hope to visit again. We stayed here for one night on the way back from Memphis to New Orleans and enjoyed a most wonderful room - the Pemberton Suite - at the top of the house. The terrace outside at sunset was so romantic and the tour after breakfast with an external professional tour guide was great. Three negative comments which lost them one star - the welcome at check-in was lacking, emphasis on taking payment rather than greeting us as guests; check-out was non existent with no-one at the desk when we left; breakfast set time was restrictive - 8.30 or no breakfast but this was OK until we find that there was no vegetarian option even though we had advised in advance. Would highly recommend though for the house itself and the good wifi and kitchen facilities. More...

We spent one night in this lovely antebellum mansion. It was like stepping back in time. Check in was so easy, although we arrived late, and the hostess just guided me in the phone to my room. We were told to leave the key in the door when we check out. You really feel the trust and easy going atmosphere. In the morning a breakfast was arranged for the guests of the inn. We all sat a the dinner table and talked to new people about this and that. 45 min later a guide came and gave us a tour of the mansion, which had served as a hospital at some point during the CW. Amazing. I truly recommend. Thank you from Denmark More...

We came to Vicksburg for our daughter's wedding and wanted to stay at the same B & B that the wedding shower was held. What a wonderful choice! The parlor is perfect for a nice gathering, no decorating needed since the antique furnishings are all beautiful! The staff was so helpful every step of the way! We stayed on the 3rd floor since there were 2 long balconies we could take advantage of (got to enjoy the view), as well as a small kitchen for our use. How grand we felt! The free tour was a bonus which we thought was very informative! It is in walking distance to many other historic buildings you will want to visit! Highly recommend Duff Green! More...
