I held a 50th anniversary party for my parents, so you can imagine that my music requests were very specific. Steff was open to all of my requests and really found the right mix for all of the participants who ranged in age from 11 to 83 which was not an easy task. If you are looking for a very professional, hardworking and fantastic DJ, Steff is definitely the one for you. I worked with DJ DreSteff for my wedding and he met every expectation I had.
I was very rushed throughout the planning process as I was juggling many responsibilities but he was very pleasant to work with and very professional. He is also really good at what he does, and I have consistently gotten great reviews from my guests at how great the music selection was. This is especially eye-opening since my guests were diverse in terms of race/origin (and to a small extent, age).

DJ DreSteff was phenomenal! My husband and I hired him for our wedding.. From the very beginning DJ DreSteff was very communicative and answered all our emails professionally, throughly, and prompt. Because it was our wedding, my husband and I were being pulled in a million and one directions but our guests could not stop telling us, in the following days, that they loved the DJ and the mixture of music he played. He catered to my husband's Guyanese side of the family with reggae and catered to my Latino family with all types of Spanish music, as well as current hits. I worked with DJ Steff for my wedding and he was exceptional. Prior to the wedding, there was a lot of confusion from my part due to my crazy work schedule but was consistently patient and professional. At the wedding, he played really great songs and was incredibly great to work with. My guests were very diverse in terms of race and age but he managed to keep everyone on the dance floor. What’s the secret to keeping a party dancing all night long?
Keep everyone guessing as to what song is next. Knowing when to play a song, how to bring a song in and how long to play it. Also, knowing when to play requests; even though I take requests, their is no guarantee that I will play the song at that moment (unless its a song requested by my client)
How would you describe your ‘style’?
- Very eclectic, unpredictable but fufilling and exiting; I always touch on every genre I can from different time periods throughout the night. This way everyone may hear or dance to a song they have not heard in a long time or a new song that may be his or her new favorite.
- "Bringing the club to the party"
What do you love most about your job?
- A packed dance floor with smiling faces. Making sure EVERYONE at the event dances at least once during the night; and once they're up for that once dance, they won't sit back down.
- Making the event planning and booking as less stressful as possible for my clients. With constant communication and accommodating to all my client's needs.
- Happy guests and happy clients
- Getting positive feedback from my clients and their guests
- The possibility of expanding with each booking
What inspired you to start your own business?
As a young boy growing up in Jamaica, from as long as I can remember, I loved music and I was always fascinated with the sound system and DJ culture in Jamaica. Whenever my parents had a party, I would always stick around and watch how the DJs set up the speakers, watch their process of choosing a song and the reaction they get from it. When I turned 11 years old I started messing around with a DJ software, learning how to beat and fell in love with it. I would play with it and practice daily. That led to me making mixes and posting them online, which ultimately led to me DJing small parties from 2011-2012. I then moved on to DJing teen/college parties around my neighbor hood and worked with this big event company called Teenpulse. I also started DJing in bars/lounges, and clubs. As I made my way through high school, I learned more and more about the business aspect of DJing and the music industry. Once I graduated high school and started college, I decided to not only to do public events but private events. From my first small event to my first big event, it felt great to see a packed dance floor with everyone having a great time. Starting my company (DreSteff) gives me to possibility of constantly seeing that and give me more knowledge as to how I can improve my skills as a DJ and continue to grow my brand. Ultimately, what inspired me to start Dj DreSteff was my love of music, DJing, sound and lighting and making everyone happy through my form of art.

DreSteff Entertainment provides high end entertainment for all clients; DreSteff provides a vast amount of services and will certainly accommodate and work with budgets. DJ DreSteff will ensure that all clients and their guests "party until their feet fall off" without having to rely on some of the cheesy line dance. Photo Booth Services
We use high quality, professional lighting and cameras to make sure client's pictures come out flawlessly on high quality photo strips. At our Photo Booth station, an attendant will be stationed there to help our guests with the Photo Booth, our packages also include numerous fun props numerous, a scrapbook for guests to sign, an attendant, unlimited color, and a USB Drive of every pic for the party host to take home.
