I listen to Dr. Puff's Happiness Podcast every day to get reminded how to stay happy and deal with the challenges of life. Dr. Puff's style is simple, profound, and incredibly compassionate. He acknowledges that all of us are human and have our frailties. He teaches us to lovingly accept our frailties, learn from them, and finally transcend them. His suggestions are always very simple, down-to-earth, and at the same time wise and spiritual. I rarely come across so much common sense and compassion - for oneself and for others. More...

Meditating is hard for me but with the help of Dr. Puff I'm learning to implement it into my life and it's helping me with my PTSD. My wife and I look forward to Dr. Puff's meditation group on Wednesday nights. Not only do we meditate but we have a group discussion after meditating and I'm connecting with some really cool folks. I've listened to many of Dr. Puff's podcasts and I have to say that he is doing a fine job. He can turn the great teachings of the prophets from misinterpreted rhetoric into understandable language that most can enjoy. His message is to live a happy life. That message means giving up all your preconceived ideas about what and where happiness is and to take a leap of faith into a misunderstood place. As he says, 'it takes work.' So if you're not willing to work at finding peace, and possibly sacrificing your Mercedes or your Lexus, guess what? You won't find it. Nobody, I mean nobody can hand it to you on a silver platter. Dr. Puff has dedicated his life to helping others and his podcasts are freely available to listen to and learn from, but only you can find your peace if you are willing to work at it More...

I found Dr. Puff's blog and podcast online. I was initially drawn in by the name, but he's seriously good. His happiness podcasts helped me reevaluate my life and reconsider my dependence on some very negative people. The information is good, he doesn't use a load of medical mumbo-jumbo and his voice is pleasant to listen to. More...

Dear Dr. Puff, I have been using your podcast over the past months and have listened to the majority of the episodes at least once. In other words, I decided to take a leap of faith and take your advice to listen to a few of them every day in the hope that much of what you talk about in terms of happiness will at some point become second nature for me. I must admit that I was very skeptical. However, a funny thing happened. Ever so slowly I became happier. At first, I didn't notice much of a change but as the days, weeks and months passed, i began to think differently, if that makes any sense. Life has become much "lighter" and now there are very few "big deals" that I obsess over. I continue to work on my happiness as you suggest and feel like this is the path that I will be on for whatever remains of my life on this beautiful planet. I am eternally grateful for your hard work and selfless dedication to helping others. Thank you my friend. One last side story. I happened to be re-watching one of my favorite movies that you may be familiar with, "A Beautiful Mind". As you may know, it is the story of Dr. John Nash, the brilliant but mentally challenged mathematician. There is a scene about half way through the movie where he is teaching a class of new students and he writes a very long equation on the chalkboard and then turns to the class and says "This problem here will take some of you many months to solve, for others among you, it will take you the term of your natural life." I will turn 70 this year and in terms of happiness, it has taken me "...the term of my natural life" to finally be on the road to recovering my natural happiness. God bless you sir! More...

I just finished listening to episode #112 for the third time. While there are many other episodes that I find extremely helpful, this episode has a special significance for me. I am a lifelong learner and now I am focused on learning the skill of happiness. This episode really drives home the reasons why learning happiness is fundamental to creating and enjoying a life that I look forward to each and every day. Thank you Dr. Puff for your tireless efforts to help so many of us that have struggled through life. Just like reading, learning the skill of happiness is fundamental. More...

I just stumbled upon The Happiness Podcast, and I love it! Dr Puff is very wise, and I feel is spot on with his insight and suggestions. He really has some mind blowing insights that can transform your outlook in a relatively short amount of time. I listened to about 10 of the most recent episodes yesterday, and my only critique is that he gives too many negative examples. For example he will say, "Well of course bad things can happen. I could loose my job, my spouse could die, my health could fail, etc." And as someone who suffers from anxiety, I do not need to be reminded of what life's "bad situations" are that I could run into. I am well aware, too aware, of the bad things that could happen every day. I think we all are aware of these risks. It started to really get to me, and ultimately I had to turn the podcast off, as my mind was racing, and I was no longer getting any benefit out of the positive things he was saying & trying to get across. Hopefully that isn't how all the episodes are, and I can keep listening to earlier episodes. I know I spent a long time writing about this critique, but that should not turn others off from this podcast. Not everyone who wants to listen to this podcast is going to have anxiety or even pick up on these examples. The podcast is quite amazing, and is a great way to put life back into perspective. Listening to Dr. Puff is always a pleasure, for business as it happened to me, or pure curiosity. I have heard him in person on several occasions and have always found his style excellent. His voice is soothing but never boring. Quiet, but never trivial. He has a really unique way of teaching. And his teachings have changed my way of thinking about reality. He did a great job of team building for our young company the past year. He and Elizabeth are extraordinary people that I hope to meet again on my way. More...
