This was really good. The coffee was excellent, quite a good choice and the breads and biscuits and croissants so good! Very imaginative choices- peanut butter on a egg and bacon sandwich? And yet it works sooo well. We had a few different coffees and all were excellent. Will definitely return! More...

A real up to date coffee and breakfast cafe. The coffee is definitely small batch coffee and the food is really good 'yippie' environment.

Stopped here for some coffee while waiting for a bus to get me to Boston. The coffee, café au lait, was freakishly huge.  I mean, it was in a ginormous coffee cup. It was not the absolutely best cup of coffee I've ever had, but it was really good and way better than Fivebucks(TM) and didn't COST five bucks.  I also got a peanut butter cookie and it was soft and moist and the size of a small saucer. Literally. That's what it was served on and it almost didn't fit.  Love the old school lounge feel.  Makes me wish I lived in Pittsfield.  But, I don't. More...

Being a coffee nut, I need my latte or cappuccino in the morning. This place is no joke! They are serious about their coffee and the latte I had was better than any corner Starbucks. Healthy options for food as well, however, there are no bagels. I know a lot of people that like their bagel with cream cheese. Or, a bagel w/lox, or an everything bagel. Otherwise the place is a real hit! More...

This place is so cute. A little on the pricey side but still nice. The lady at the counter was friendly and sweet. We had a brownie, a birthday cake cookie, a latte and a regular coffee. If you are going to meet somebody in Pittsfield for a cup of coffee, this is the spot. Everybody knows Dottie's. It has a funky, hipster vibe. There are many different places to sit from regular tables to high backed chairs in the windows.  You could spend all day here reading or chatting. Nobody will bother you.The food is good and fresh.  Baked goods come from their sister bakery called Tyler and Pine. You can have unusual salads and sandwhiches. More...

Stopped in here for a late breakfast as we were heading home from a weekend stay in the area.  It's a cute place with an eclectic collection of decorations inside.  As the posted "House Rules" state, order at the counter, wait for your coffee near the cappuccino machine and take a number to your table if you ordered food.  I honestly thought it was a bit pricey, but having said that, my large caramel latte was the best one I've ever had.  I tried to order a raspberry mocha, but they were out of raspberry.  I tried to order a bagel, out of those too.  3 of the 4 adults in our party all got the biscuit breakfast sandwich and that cheddar chive biscuit was worth every penny!  Highly recommend that biscuit! If I'm in the area again I'd go back. Dottie's is a slightly pretentious, hipster coffee shop with lots of funk and spunk. The aesthetic is very unique and comfortable with random coffee mugs, your great grandmother's sofa and your best friends attempt at repurposing an antique door into a coffee table. Local art to purchase hangs on the wall, old wood floors creek and Dottie merchandise hangs on one wall. They offer specialty drinks, breakfast, lunch and baked goods. The drinks and food are all very slightly to relatively over priced. However, they are excellent drinks and tasty food in a unique atmosphere so all in all complaining of price is difficult. On my first trip to Dottie's I ordered an Ioka Farm maple syrup latte, egg and cheese on a bagel while my fiancé ordered a regular coffee with Ioka Farm maple syrup, egg and cheese on an English muffin and we shared a house made Pop Tart. All this was $28. The breakfast sandwiches were nothing special but were very tasty. The cheddar cheese used was very good. The Maple latte was excellent. I am not typically a coffee drinker but found the maple latte creamy, not bitter at all with a slight mapley sweetness that was perfect. The house made cinnamon Pop Tart was way over priced at $5. I understand it is labor intensive but you can knock out a bunch of them easily. It was a tender, flaky pie crust with a slightly dried cinnamon-sugar interior and glaze on top. Service was quick and friendly from both the person taking our order and the barista. Dottie's is the most unique place I've found while visiting the Berkshires and I would definitely return. I had a lovely experience at this café.  I am a sucker for tea lattés, so I got the matcha latté at the recommendation of a staff member (I was between that and the chai latté - the matcha was her personal favorite). I was not disappointed. After I ordered, the same staff member complimented my shoes. Awesome. The vibes in this place are great. It has good lighting from the large windows on the street. It is quiet and cozy. I was a bit cold, but that's only because I chose to sit next to the door in the middle of winter. Since I don't care for whole eggs, I tried the vegan breakfast bowl with tempeh, avocado, and pickled red onions over rice and beans. We also ordered an iced coffee and a soy cappuccino. No complaints there.  The eggs were done perfectly. My husband ordered a latte, and a breakfast burrito. He's a world wide traveler, and said it was the best and most flavorful latte he had ever had, and the burrito was superb! When we're in the area again, we'll certainly stop in.
