After having a terrible experience with a local walker, our family hired Doggie Daytrippers. We used their services (three times a week) for the past year and a half, until we moved out of the service area. The service they provided our *very* high energy, high maintenance dog was extraordinary. Our walker, Dennis, was extremely kind, patient and willing to take on our dog, Calie, who has had a history of aggression. The owner, Karen, was honest, communicative, reliable and even made a personal trip to our house to observe Calie the first day to ensure a good experience. The walker always left a note, telling us what happened during the day, if our dog peed or pooed, etc. They also managed to find a group of dogs that Calie got along with so she could go out on group playdates -- each evening she returned home tired and happy. I knew it was a good fit when she started crying with excitement when the van pulled into our driveway on pickup days - she couldn't wait to see Dennis! I cannot recommend this company more - they are trustworthy professionals who treated our dog like their own. We miss you already, Karen and Dennis! More...

I have used a lot of dog walking services in the Boston area since we got our lab three years ago and Doggie Day Trippers by far offers the best services and prices of all the companies we have tried. Unlike many of the other services we have used, they are 100% reliable and ALWAYS show up when they say they are going to. We typically use their 45 minute romp service where they pick up our dog, drive her to a safe location and let the dogs off leash to run and play for about 45 minutes. Given travel time, it ends being a few hour long excursion and we know our dog is playing and having fun the entire time. She always comes home happy and tired, which is a nice treat for us as well! We have met the owner and two of the walkers and they are all wonderful and clearly have a passion for animals. I have been home a few times when they have picked up our dog and to see how excited she is to see them makes me feel very confident that they take good care of her! The walkers always leave notes about pick up and drop off time and fill us on what they did that day, which is greatly appreciated. I could not be happier with this company and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for someone trustworthy to care for their pet! More...

At this point, I'd feel comfortable recommending Doggy Daytrippers to other dog owners, and would only encourage them to meet with someone from the service, clearly confirm all of the important details, and enjoy having a reliable walker come take care of your dog when you can't be there.

I have been using Doggie Day Trippers for about a year and a half now. Our dog is pretty hyperactive to say the least, but the walker Sam is amazing with him and loves my dog as her own. Diggy does this crazy jump thing when me or my fiance come home, but now is starting to do it for Sam. Not only is she great with the dog, one day she came to pick him up and I was home with the flu, so she took him for the day so when he came back he was tired and just slept next to me. They offer services all over town (not just Exclusively to certain neighborhoods) and are, as far as I can tell, one of the only places that offers off-leash group hiking. I was heading out for a week vacation and needed someone to check in on my senior cat. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the DDT also takes care of cats. The staff on the phone were very friendly and the prices were very reasonable ($15 a visit). DDT went above and beyond my expectations! In addition to feeding and checking in on Abby, I came back from vacation to find a clean litterbox! (I would pay someone $15 just to clean the litterbox, so this was quite the deal). I've had a great experience overall with Doggie DayTrippers. I started using their services after receiving a promotional postcard this summer. When signing up, Amanda came to my house, played with my dog, and explained the options. Since then I've been sending Lucy on 1-2 field trips per week. When I return home, I always am greeted by a cute note explaining where they went and who she went with (there has been consistency with the walkers and the other dogs), as well as a very tired and happy dog (she's a German Shepherd mix, so she's very smart and hard to fool; I have used services in the past that have left her stressed and anxious, but that has not been the case at all with DDT!). These dog lovers will take your doggy out for an afternoon field trip! To the woods, the beach, any great natural outdoor area, where your doggy can run off leash. I haven't tried that yet, but they walk Buster every week, and he loves it. He gets a solo walk for $18 for 45 min. The walker (same one each week) leaves a note on how Buster's walk went. I also like how they bill you monthly and send an email receipt. Karen, the lady who will interview you and your dog, in the beginning is sweet. Doggie DayTrippers ARE THE BEST!!!! Please ignore any of the bad reviews that were written about this business. They have been nothing but PERFECT with our dogs. The dog walkers are not only dedicated to our dogs (I have a year old yellow lab and a 9th month old black lab), but they have practically become family. They took care of our black lab puppy from day one and looked after our yellow lab from the time he was three months old. Our dogs always come back from their trips happy and very tired! Furthermore, our walkers write PERSONAL notes about our dogs experiences and what they did on their hikes EVERY DAY!!! They even wrote to us when my yellow lab Beacon first learned how to swim! Our labs adore their dog walker and are in great shape because of their trips outside the city. This is a great organization which really cares about your dogs. I can't say enough great things about it. Don't let one person's experience influence your decisions. Doggie DayTrippers are the way to go!!!!! I am writing in regards to Mario and how absolutely AMAZING AND WONDERFUL he is with our dogs!!! I could not ask for a BETTER person to take care of my dog. She has separation issues and will not leave my side but when he comes in in the morning to pick her up she sits down, lets him put her leash on and heads out the door without even looking back- this is AMAZING!! He is so respectful of our home, our dogs and he always makes conversation and tells me how the dogs are doing at daycare. This morning, I had taken my dog for a walk and he came to pick up my roommate's dog and realized my keys were still there so before he left our building he came back for Rileigh when he knew we'd be back from our walk. I think that is so above and beyond and I will and have recommended your services to anyone with a dog because of Mario!!
