Vanessa is amazing. She takes such great care of our dog Lucy who has special needs. She's completely trustworthy and reliable, and most importantly loves Lucy. It was vital that we found someone dependable to walk and dog sit Lucy as she has epilepsy and needs the extra attention, especially when in comes to dispensing medicine and providing the appropriate care post seizure. These Dog Mama's are animal momma's in general. I'm completely calm when I have to leave my needy cats at home because I know they're getting the attention they need while I'm away. I get a confirmation before, pictures and status while I'm away and then a report at then end when I get back. Easy safe payment on Venmo. The cats are happy I'm home but I know they've been treated well because they're sweet and trauma free. I also love following dogmamas on IG too because the love of their pet friends shows. Vanessa is an absolutely amazing dog lover and caretaker. She has been looking after my pup while I travel for months now, and I have never felt so comfortable leaving him with someone. She is incredibly knowledgeable of dog behavior and can handle any situation well, and she always sends tons of pictures of my guy looking happy and relaxed. I would like to thank the folks at Dog mama for taking such good care of our dog, Toby, and our home while we were away on vacation! Vanessa the owner made us feel very comfortable with their services and Lauren was so incredible with our dog. Toby is not the easiest dog to work with and Lauren did an amazing job and sent photos and kept me updated while we were away. I have to say that I can be a little freaked out when I have to leave my dog for extended periods, but because of Lauren's professionalism, kindness and experience, I was totally comfortable knowing Toby was being taken care of and loved! What do you love most about your job?
I love building a strong bond with all of my clients as well as with their l pets - people often ask if I have any pets and my reply is i have many pets all over Los Angeles! Seeing their furry faces every day and their unique personalities is what I love most!
What inspired you to start your own business?
Dog Mama was started with the idea that anyone with pets can feel at ease, happy, and guilt free any time they may have a long day at work or just need a little getaway vacation. Life is so fast paced and busy it can be hard to always get home in time to walk our dogs or have some snuggle time with our cats. That’s where we come in. We like to think of ourselves as that “second mom” to your fur baby so they can be happy and healthy - and you can too!
Why should our clients choose you?
There are so many pet care companies out there and it can be very difficult to know who to trust with your pet and your home. That’s why we offer free meet and greets so that you and your pet can meet us to get to know each other and make sure it’s a good fit so everyone can thrive.
30 minute dog walk
A nice walk with your pup to stretch it’s legs and go potty
60 minute dog walk
A longer walk for those extra energetic pups - a tired pup is a happy pup! (And owner!)
30 minute drop in visit
A drop in visit for cats to have some company, play time, along with feeding and cleaning the litter box.
A drop in visit is also great for a quick potty break for pups out in the yard and feeding.
90 minute dog park visit
Can you say doggy party at the park?! Time for your pup to let out it’s energy with other doggy friends. This is also a great option for dogs and puppies that are learning to socialize.
In home pet sitting
We stay in your home overnight while your away so your dog or cat can have all the same love, attention, and home comforts as if you were there!
