It is a rarity to find an establishment that has award-winning chefs at it, a large assortment of both baked good and chocolates and numerous gluten-free offerings (this is incredibly important to me, as I have Celiac disease. ) the Italian cream cake with blackberry coulis and a blackberry buttercream is unreal! What a wonderful bakery, chocolate & patisserie to visit. Nacho was there and was able to answer any questions we might have. Everything looked so good you wanted to sample everything. The cakes I have tried have all been delicious. The carrot cake and German chocolate cakes are good. Very moist and the toppings are just the right amount. The Turtle one is the best one. The icing is not too sweet and the flavors are not over powering. The mini cake sampler is great to give as a gift when you cant choose just one flavor. I have tried both their carrot cake and their dark chocolate truffle cake. As long as you like dark chocolate, you will like the chocolate cake. If you have any taste buds at all, you will love their carrot cake. It was a surprising complex set of flavors that just made for an amazing cake. Cinnamon stood out to me as the most interesting flavor that I think helped make this so good. The frosting was proportioned properly to the size of the cake. We are so fortunate that this lovely family chose San Antonio as the home for this fabulous business! My 93 year old mother wanted a traditional Germans Chocolate cake, the kind she and her mother used to bake. Susana worked with her and baked a delicious cake for her. Awesome service, awesome cakes!I couldn’t decide between the traditional chocolate cake and the turtle cake. They were able to make the cake 1/2 and 1/2. It was a surprise for my husbands birthday and he was very pleased with it. My husband is not an easy one to please when it comes to food. The cakes were moist, not too sweet, just right.
