My wife and I were EXTREMELY impressed with DJ Evan's dj'ing services for our wedding! When we first began communicating with him, he was very responsive and thorough in his responses. Once we signed on, we used his online portal to pick most of the songs that we wanted to see played at the ceremony, during cocktail hour, during dinner, and during dancing. On a personal level, my wife and I really like yacht rock, country music, current pop hits, and late 2000s hip-hop music. Somehow DJ Evan was able to blend all of these tastes into a seamless playlist. Not an easy task! Everyone has a blast (especially during the dancing part of the night) and we were thoroughly impressed with DJ Evan. My wife and I hired DJ Evan for our wedding last weekend and we have to say that everything was amazing and our guests could not stop dancing the entire night! During the quoting and consultation process, DJ Evan was very good at keeping in touch with us whether it was by email, phone call, or text. We received great information about his services and could tell from the start that he was a good and honest vendor. His pricing was definitely fair and the services we received from his DJing spoke for it.After we had paid our deposit and hired DJ Evan for our wedding, he still made himself easily accessible by answering our emails and phone calls for any questions that we had or any additions we made to our wedding plans. He was very proactive in reminding us to fill out worksheets which he provided, to help him know the kind of music we wanted and to help him introduce our family members and wedding party. On the day of the wedding we did not have any problems with sound or music at all. DJ Evan was spot on with all of our song choices for all of the important moments in our wedding such as the procession, recession, cake cutting etc. He met up with our officiant before the ceremony to make sure that he was properly connected to the sound system, and he also made sure our live singers had the backing tracks they needed or proper sound accommodations. The way he transitioned songs and the songs he chose to play during the reception made everyone get up and dance! Our wedding was only 95 people and I could truly say that the dance floor has about 90 people on it the entire night! DJ Evan played a huge part in making our wedding a memorable and fun event for all of our friends and family. DJ Evan was incredibly professional from the first meeting thru the wedding day. He was always punctual and prepared each time we met. Upon our first meeting he had me walk through the details of my wedding day. He took copious notes and asked questions about things I hadn't even thought about. He was great in explaining about his equipment and how it would be setup and used for the ceremony and reception. He clearly explained pricing and the details about his services.To prepare for my wedding, DJ Evan had us meet at the event site so that he could familiarize himself with the outside space and banquet room. He even met with the hotel catering manager so that he knew who she was and so that he could ask any questions that he had about the space and the day. DJ Evan also agreed to speaking with and did speak with my officiant and my wedding day point of contact and friend to assure that everything ran smoothly and according to my itinerary. He also provided me worksheets to help me choose the songs I wanted for all the moments of the ceremony and reception. These worksheets were incredibly helpful and made it easy to not forget anything for which I needed a song.On my wedding day and during the ceremony, there was some feedback from the microphone for about a hot second. My husband and I hardly noticed, but DJ Evan was very apologetic and even took a dollar amount off of the cost of his services. DJ Evan was an excellent choice for being a DJ + karaoke host at a teenager's birthday party. He was on top of things, provided tips ahead of the party, made sure he got the playlists ready ahead of time, landed up early on the day of the party to have all the setup complete before the party started. Quite a few of our guests made comments to me about how good he was and that they had enjoyed the choice of music. I would highly recommend DJ Evan to anyone who is reading this review. Planning a wedding means having to reach out to many vendors for estimates and then deciding who you want for that service. Originally, my fiance and had wanted a DJ to perform for our brunch wedding reception. Evan was always quick to respond to emails, text messages, and took the time to speak me with me over the phone, to discuss my needs. Other vendors took a long time to get back to me or never responded to my request. I was impressed with his professionalism throughout the process, which speaks volumes about Evan. Although, my fiance and I ended up going in a different direction (we decided to have live music instead), Evan was ever gracious. We hired DJ Evan for our company Christmas party. The hiring process was easy and convenient. From the beginning DJ Evan was professional and accommodating. He made sure that throughout the night the tempo of the party was high and upbeat, and was gladly taking requests. DJ Evan worked my sister's wedding this past Saturday night and KILLED IT. I found him on Thumbtack and was pleasantly surprised with how well he did. He truly was a hit! I highly recommend hiring him for any event that you want to take up a notch. Today, 5 April 2017, was my Navy retirement ceremony and DJ Evan made the occasion a success. His professionalism and attention to detail were key in the flag passing detail and his participation throughout the ceremony. DJ Evan and I worked together on our first Jewish Wedding this past Sunday and he nailed it! Since this reception was a little out of the norm and our timeline was not in the standard wedding sequence (started off the reception with dancing! !! woooo), it was a little different for both of us, but we made it happen and everything turned out great! If you want a dj for any event I strongly recommend dj Evan, (hector). He was very professional with paperwork, contracts, insurance, meeting times and very good to work with. His sound system is fantastic, and basic lighting was sufficient for my event! He offers add ons too. DJ Evan is excellent.  One of my best friends recently got married and he entrusted me to find them a DJ for their reception.  I didn't want to screw up so I looked far and wide for someone who fit the bill, since people of all ages & tastes would be there.  A friend of mine gave me Evan's name.  From the outset, Evan was cool, unassuming, friendly and extremely professional.  He brought his own setup which sounded great and looked good.  You can tell he truly enjoys DJing at weddings. He gladly played the music the bride and groom requested along with other songs that were parsimonious and appropriate for the occasion. We hired DJ Evan for our wedding this past weekend and it was a fantastic experience.  He and his crew were organized, on-time, and did such a great job of taking control and announcing everything throughout the night that I/we didn't have to worry about a thing.  We met with him about 2 weeks before our ceremony to go over song selections/timelines/etc., and even though we didn't even have all of this figured out yet he knew the questions to ask and helped us figure it out.  Communication was excellent through the entire process, and it really helped us enjoy the day/night.  He setup sound and lighting in 3 different areas, making the whole experience seamless for our guests and perfect for our wedding.  DJ Evan - great timing during the Ceremony, we missed the Cocktail hour music due to photos but we heard it was great, and the reception was an absolute blast!THANK YOU!!!
