If you're looking for a real gym with professional trainers that know their stuff and, more than that, compete in the industry, then Die Hard is your spot! My hat goes off to Matt, my daughters personal trainer. Not only is he professional and knowledgeable, but he is also truly interested in seeing his students thrive in whatever discipline they choose. More...

I went to this gym while on vacation in the West Phoenix area.  It was great walking into a real gym.  The gym used steel weights that clanked.  You don't realize that you can miss that sound.  Several people at the gym were very helpful.  Tim and Clay Sparks were helpful and inspirational.  Myron was also motivational and represents the gym well.  If you are a beginner or a pro, this is a great gym to motivate you to make improvements.  Recommendation: bring a sweat towel, you will need it. STRONGEST GYM IN AZ! This is the best gym! I typically found myself in other gyms without any real goals to work towards until I found Die Hard. This is where I found my love of powerlifting! I was intimidated to go at first but I soon found out this was the gym where people put more into the sport of powerlifting than blood, sweat, and tears. They put their whole heart into lifting just as owner, personal trainer, posing coach, and powerlifting coach Tim Sparkes! You'll soon find that it's a closely knit family made up of people from all different walks of life there to train intensely. I have only been there for about 2 1/2 years but I'm lifting more than I ever thought I was capable of doing and I love it! I love to go where there are like minded people who all want to do the same thing. There is always someone who is willing to help if you're new to lifting. If you are looking to improve or push yourself come check it out! Don't let the Big guys scare you they are all nice and willing to help if you need it. Many trainers on site for personal training sessions if you aren't sure where to start and don't be afraid to ask questions. Whatever your fitness goal is you can be sure to reach it at Die Hard. I have been going to this gym and training with Tim for 7 years. Hands down the best gym in Phoenix. Lots of machines, tons of Dumbbells and no shortage of entertainment.

Best Powerlifting Gym in AZ. I've trained in gyms since 1992 in CA and AZ. Tim Sparkes, the owner of Die Hard Gym, runs one of the BEST Results Oriented gym that I have ever seen. It is great for NPC Athletes as well as Powerlifters. When you walk into Die Hard  Gym you see a mecca of trophies from NPC Competitions as well as Powerlifting Medals from the Olympia Expo Invites. Tim Sparks is also featured in 2016 Muscle & Fitness Magazine. Tim and Die Hard Gym are LEGIT!! Several NPC Athletes earned their IFBB Pro Cards training out of Die Hard Gym. Several State Level NPC Athletes qualified for the NPC USA and NPC Nationals with great placings. If you are serious about results or training to be your best then Die Hard Gym is the place to go and Tim Sparkes is the person to see!! If you are serious about working out this is the gym you want. All levels of training are welcomed. I noticed some one wrote the place seemed intimating with the big guys. I think that may be a personal issue as everyone there is friendly and works hard. I have been a member for three years and highly recommend this old style gym. No frills just move some iron and get the job done. The owner Tim is a great guy and will treat you right. More...

I love this gym! I would've never thought I'd be capable of lifting the weights I do now and it's all thanks to my trainer Tim Sparkes.

I went and checked this place out as I am looking for another gym to join. I found the people there are a bit intimidating as they are all some big dudes, and you get some funny looks as well. I felt that everyone there was establishing an opinion of me even before I could make it into the door. I am going to go back today and see if I get a better vibe but other than that the price is right and they have a ton of equipment. I will update this review once I have more info. More...

While I was in high school, Clay was my personal trainer for many years.  He pushes you to do you best because he knows you can do it! He is a great person to get advice from but he also wont take any of your BS either.  Which for me was good because it kept me focus.  I have known his brother Tim just about as long as I worked out with Clay.  Both are great trainers and I haven't met any trainers that can compare to them! I truly miss having Clay as my trainer.  If you are looking for a quality trainer, Clay is the one to see.  Although I have not been to Die Hard since I moved across country, I wouldn't go anywhere else in Arizona. What are you looking for in fitness?  I don't care how timid, shy, or intimidated you get when you approach a gym... YOU MUST train with the trainers at Die Hard.  Male and female trainers. It may not be a fancy full-service gym, but then again you won't have to pay crazy joiner fees or sign contracts that you can't get out of.  Prices to work with their professional training staff are incredibly good. Some of the most knowledgeable and nice people you will ever meet.  They should charge much more than they do for the quality of training you'll get.  If you want results, don't complain, just work your ass off.  They will get you results, but you have to put in the work.  DO IT NOW.  Stop worrying about what others think of you.  People from all walks of life train there.  All ethnicities, all sizes and shapes, all personalities.  Stop waiting and GO SIGN UP.  You will see results in 8 weeks and feel more strength and energy than you ever thought possible.(I do not work for Die Hard.  I trained there for several years.)
