Booking DIBS was one of our best decisions throughout the wedding planning process. Jake and his wife Mandi were so kind and they did a killer job at our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception! We connected instantly with Jake when we met with him early on. He listened to us and was organized throughout the whole process. We had several people come up to us at the reception and say that DIBS was the best DJ they had ever heard. He really is. In addition to playing great music, he helped to keep our night running smoothly and we didn't have a single problem with audio during speeches or announcements. I can't say enough great things about Jake. He was so great to work with and so easy going, which you need when you are planning a wedding. I told him to take the reigns on the music playlist and he nailed it out of the park. No matter the request we gave him (even on a short notice) he was able to accomplish. Jake was the best DJ my wife and I could have ever asked for! Our wedding was planned with very little time and live out of town, so communicating and coordinating with him was difficult (on our end) and he went the extra mile to make it happen. Not to mention he had 2 weddings to do that day and he squeezed us in to make an old friend happy!!! Do yourself a favor and use Jake for anything you may have, you will NOT be disappointed!!! Jake is amazing, talented, makes your event extra special and is very professional. He did our backyard wedding and made our starry night to perfection!
He met with us before and we went over everything and he gave us great ideas for our walk-in announcement. He makes your event unique to what you are looking for. When it came to Hannah (my wife) and I's decisions about wedding planning, the main thing I was particular about was having an awesome DJ. I love dancing, I love fun, and it's harder than you think to find a DJ who can create the environment you want. From numerous Skype calls, emails, phone calls, and more, Jake and Mandi made sure they knew what we wanted out of the night. It was specially tailored to us. Coming from a musician and a critic, I can honestly say Jake and Mandi did more than I ever could have wanted at our wedding. They absolutely did it!!! They created the environment we wanted and everybody was dancing, and the music was the perfect loudness and perfect songs and everything. I mean wow!! it can't get much better than DIBS. Everything was absolutely flawless. Jake & Mandi are the perfect team. My husband and I met Jake a couple months before the wedding in person to talk things over and we quickly became friends! He asked us what type of music we wanted throughout the evening and did a phenomenal job incorporating that type of music + way better options! Best DJ in all the land! My wife and I were pleased with the music selection, and loved his personality! After going to multiple weddings before ours, we were worried we would get a DJ that wouldn't get the guests involved, be organized or play not so great music. That was definitely not the case for Do it Big Studios. They have multiple packages to choose from to make it fit your ceremony/reception needs. Very professional and easy to contact and work with. We were thrilled to have DIBS for our wedding in Fall 2016. The best part was working with someone who truly cared about our wedding day and made us feel completely comfortable during the planning phase. So many vendors we spoke with threw generic sales pitches our way and made us feel pressured to choose a certain package. This was NOT the case at all with DIBS. Jake was there for us from day one. His setup was completely professional and he helped create an energy on the dance floor that we won't ever forget. He truly listened to our notes and song requests and made sure to hit every single one. He was so great during the planning phase-always getting back to us ASAP to answer any questions we had. I also appreciated that during our reception, his emphasis was on the music and not overly MC'ing the night-which is exactly what we were looking for in a DJ. Can't recommend him enough!
