What a fabulous experience working with these folks!! Amanda & Shelly helped me create a "reading room" in a somewhat awkwardly shaped space in my house -- and over a year later, I'm *still* talking about how much I love it! ! The job involved helping me identify furniture, shelves, lighting, and a rug, and working with my existing items. They listened to what I was trying to accomplish, worked with my budget, and adapted selections and recommendations based on my feedback. They attended to even the smallest details, like getting a prized textile from past travels framed AND hung on my wall (they arranged for a handy man to come do the install, along with hanging photos). They styled the final bits for a polished yet comfortable and cozy finish. Finally, their website made working through options super-easy. We had a great experience working with Amanda! She is a very good listener and she “gets” us. I hired her to help us refresh our kitchen. We didn’t know where to start. Amanda first created a color palette that complements the adjoining rooms. Next, she helped us choose counter top and backsplash material. From there, we chose wallpaper, paint and window treatments. Amanda and Shelly are excellent at what they do! We were moving across the country and were in desperate need of help. They were able to talk with us on the phone and Skype to determine what we were looking for and to show us what they had found/planned. They even looked at our apartment before we were in San Francisco so there wouldn't be a delay between us and our ordered furniture arriving. They were time-sensitive. Amanda was great at picking out pieces that would look appealing. Shelly balanced that with confirming that the items would not only fit into the space, but that they would be the most effective and efficient use of the space. We are here at our place in Kauai for the first time since the remodel you did, and we are so, so happy with all you’ve done. Wow! It’s just perfect, and it feels like our home now. We are so grateful for what you did and for your skills and talents with design.

Another benefit is that our condo rentals have significantly increased since the new photos went on the web site. It only had 2-3 unbooked nights per month between January to April. That’s completely different than pre-remodel, so the changes you’ve made have clearly been appealing to renters as well. We contacted Amanda and Shelly after our kitchen remodel was completed to help us with a floor plan for our new open concept living/dining/kitchen area and design direction. I hired DesignFix to help finish up some spaces in my home. Amanda and Shelly were so easy to work with. Amanda is phenomenal. She brought color samples to the first meeting and had a color palette going in an hour. Took us to a floor store and we were on our way selecting flooring with her help. She advised us on so many details that two other design professionals had totally missed out on. She was super responsive to emails and phone calls - always with thoughtful answers. She helped us with everything - from light fixtures to accessories. We were super happy with our whole house design. And all within our budget. I hired DesignFix to help me with assorted decorating projects around my new home and I was very satisfied with their services. Most decorators want a job minimum, in terms of scale of project or cost. DesignFix was great for my situation because I had a bunch of smaller design concerns that we could handle incrementally. This company really knows color, design, staging and organization! After remodeling, I didn't know what accent pieces to get or what kind of artwork would look good over the fireplace (and what do I do with the cool antique heirlooms I have? !). Shelly and Amanda gave me some great advice about item placement and punches of color that really pulled everything together.
