Kevin S., the owner/contractor of DBR Construction, LLC did an outstanding remodel of our kitchen, breakfast area and laundry room. His whole crew of seven were very courteous and professional during the entire remodel job. Their "attention to detail" was excellent. They fixed several things that were not spelled out in the contract. Even though the total time for the job was about 9 weeks which was longer than the 3-5 weeks estimate, the end product was exactly what we wanted. 5 weeks ago we dumped another contractor who had left us with a horrible mess. Kevin S******* and his crew came in and within the past month worked a miracle. While that sounds like an over-reaction, i assure you it isn't. The addition that was supposed to be livable space, had poured concrete more than an inch below grade. His guys jack hammered it out, poured new flooring and installed tile that was leveled across 2/3 of the house. Did i mention they did it perfectly? But that was only the beginning. They did all of the finish work so it was livable and beautiful. The crew was respectful professional and pleasant every step of the way. Even more scary is how good Kevin is. There is virtually nothing he can't work through. My only regret through all of this has been we didn't hire him from the start. We could have avoided months and months of headaches and finished the project on time and on budget. When General Contractor Kevin S****** first came to look at the house we recently purchased, we told him what changes we wanted to make; he listened and made suggestions as to what could be done to make it look, not only as good, but, better than we planned, and at less expense. Having worked in construction since he was 16, his experienced eye picked up things that needed to be corrected which we had not even noticed; like poorly installed kitchen cabinets that slanted down 3/4 inch from the back to the front (which he said was so distracting to him that he would fix them for us without charge). Being new to Arizona and having heard horror stories of people hiring companies whose time schedules were long drawn out and workmanship questionable, we searched diligently for three weeks to find a contractor with whom we felt comfortable and confident. Fortunately, we noticed the DBR Construction sign in a yard across the street from us. Upon further investigation, we learned that Kevin’s company had a good standing in our community and they had done extensive projects in our area ranging from renovation to completely new construction . The more we learned, the more we knew Kevin’s company was the one we wanted. We have not been disappointed at any point!! The professional craftsmen he has working for him not only did their jobs with great care and skill, but they went out of their way to do extra things that came up during the project, and we were not even charged for the extra labor. The friendly, courteous manner with which they worked was exceeded only by the skill and accuracy of their work. We have had several guests visiting and EVERYONE has commented on the high quality of their work. They removed all the old tile and carpeting in the house and replaced it with porcelain planking; remodeled two bathrooms, removing and replacing one tub, and removing a cut down tub/shower and creating a tiled shower (the tile work is phenomenal!); wired in three ceiling lights and fans, put in additional workspace outlets; removed drywall to check out signs of a leak behind the washing machine, then replaced and refinished the drywall (all at no charge!); reset the kitchen cabinets (no charge!); replaced two old mirrors outside of bid (no charge!); wired in and installed an over-stove microwave. Once again, we found Kevin’s company very friendly and accommodating, and we continue to get compliments on the high quality of the work done by Kevin’s professional craftsmen. NO, Kevin is not my brother-in-law, nor have I been paid for this sincere and honest review; we are simply very grateful to all the men that worked so hard to make our home beautiful and a place we can truly enjoy the rest of our life. In February I had a bathroom remodel done. I am so pleased with the job. The work was very professional as well as the work crew! I would highly recommend DBR Construction to anyone.
