What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Understanding light and shadow is the key to creating great photographs. Each image should tell a story about the person, the environment, event or subject is a way that catches the viewer's eye and makes them want to continue viewing the image.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
How do you plan to use your photos? This helps me plan the setting for each image and the style I use for the composition of the image. If a client is looking for a photo to hang on the wall or wants and album, it helps me to know how you plan to use your images so I get the rightsize ratios, look and variety to give a client several images to choose from.
What do you love most about your job?
Making people happy by creating an image they love is my ultimate goal. If I know what a person is looking for, I can create something they can be proud to say is an image of themselves.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Moving from the corporate world, where I started my work life, to starting my own business was a difficult transition. Women make all kinds of transitions in their life, getting married, divorced, changing careers, having children, managing home life, juggling school and work for themselves and their children. It's easy for women to forget how strong and beautiful they are. Boudoir and specialty portraits help women remember their strengths and empowers them to tackle their next challenge.

Clients enjoy same day viewing and ordering which means you don't have to wait weeks to see how your photos came out. I bring in a hair and makeup stylist to make sure you are camera ready to showcase the beautiful woman you are. A studio closet is available to you at no extra charge that you can use to mix and match with your own wardrobe. Framed prints, canvas wraps, albums or other photo products are delivered in 2 to 3 weeks.
