What a great place to dine out for a couple or even a family with older children (tweens & up). We all loved the food (chicken parmigiana, sallows, shrimp scampi & pasta, lamb, and ribeye for us), great variety. Nice suggestions from the waiter, including a bottle of wine that we both enjoyed. Our dinner experience here was world class - we were warmly greeted at the door, introduced to our waiter (Scott) and then promptly seated. ..we ordered a glass of wine each (her a red & me a white) - our waiter (Scott) was fun, friendly & very professional - our dinner was amazing!! She had the filet & I had the duck breast - both dishes were served at the right temperature & the presentation was excellent...the flavor was nothing short of exquisite...the duck breast was dusted with chocolate powder!! Awesome service and great ambiance. I would've given them 5 stars but unfortunately our entrees came out cold and yes, our waiter quickly took care of it but it was a poor reflection on the restaurant and bad first impression especially when we drove here to Greenville to visit this restaurant.

This is the fourth year in a row my wife and I have traveled to South Carolina to go to Davanis for our anniversary, 23rd anniversary this year. The service, food and ambiance is spectacular. The food was absolutely exquisite, the wait staff were very friendly, I was not expecting the kindness I received. I went with my boyfriend and let me tell you, the hostess pulled my chair out for me, poured my water first, asked ME all of the questions. It was very clear that I was the star of the dinner if that makes sense, my order was asked for first. Everyone was very respectful. I asked for a dish that had scallops, the last time I had scallops I had horrible food poisoning, so I was nervous. So far, I am doing great.
