Danielle is simply the best. My husband and I had high hopes for how our wedding day would be documented and repeatedly mentioned to each other that the pictures are one of the most important parts of the day - these are the memories we would look back on and use to relive the most important day of our lives. Danielle far exceeded any expectations we had, and then some. When researching photographers I found Danielle’s page and instantly fell in love, the way she captures the real stuff with such emotion and beauty can only be achieved by someone who genuinely loves her work and her clients. I contacted Danielle and we chatted on the phone for about an hour to make sure we’d be a good fit to work together - an obvious yes! We opted for the engagement session with Danielle as part of our wedding package which was a great chance for us to get to know each other and made our wedding day that much more of a breeze. Our wedding day was flawless, Danielle was flexible, calm, accommodating, and all around awesome with us and our guests. It just felt like a good friend was there to capture our day. We had our first family photo shoot with Danielle and it was an awesome experience! From start to finish Danielle was thoughtful, genuine and very pleasant to work with. I had no idea how to coordinate outfits for our family of three, but she held my hand through the entire decision making process. We went back and forth with pictures and ideas and she made visual layouts of how the different outfits would go together best. So helpful! Danielle also helped us plan an adventure photo shoot in Point Reyes for while she was in the Bay Area. She totally managed our expectations for this kind of endeavor with an 11 month old baby and was very flexible when we needed to adapt things. I feel like she went above and beyond what we were paying her for!Danielle made it feel like we were old friends (rather than practical strangers having a photoshoot), which made the whole process so much more comfortable. My fiance and I don’t spend much time in front of the camera, but she made the experience feel as natural as possible and we all got a little laugh at our perceived “awkwardness”. Total ice breaker. The pictures came out beautifully! We love how they turned out and have since used them on our family Christmas cards and wedding invitations. We also printed some on canvas and they look gorgeous hanging in our new home.I knew taking family pictures would cost some money, but Danielle made it more than worth it. She is extremely personable and has a unique eye with an artistic ability to capture real emotion and connections. Every part of my experience with Danielle was a dream. She drove up to personally meet my husband and I before we committed to ANYTHING, just so we could feel her out. We loved her fun energy, her creativity, and attention to details. She made us feel comfortable during the engagement photo shoot, it was like having a friend tag along with you who just so happened to have a camera. Ten years ago when my husband and I eloped, we promised we would do something big to celebrate the milestone later on. All I really wanted was to get dressed up, hike along the pacific coast with our daughter, and renew our vows. .. so that’s exactly what we did. We found Danielle Lentz online and after viewing her portfolio we knew that her style and aesthetic was exactly what we were looking for – bonus that she is a local, Snohomish photographer! From the start, Danielle was a true professional and very easy to connect with. We decided on La Push for our destination and she helped us in planning out the logistics for the day. The funny thing is, plans rarely go according to plan… our family arrived late to the campsite, we rushed to get ready, and the weather was not what hoped for. I had a low-key meltdown on the beach, feeling everything was a just a mess. Through it all, Danielle’s sweet and positive attitude kept us encouraged that we would get the photos we were hoping for, despite the complications along the way. She was patient, flexible, calm, and reminded us that we were on an adventure. She helped us relax and stay comfortable, which was significant considering we had never taken family photos before – and it can feel a little awkward at times! When we received the gallery with our photos a few weeks later, we were truly blown away. Danielle has such a great eye for capturing the moment, and it comes across so beautifully in her photos. She made this dream of ours come to life! I have shared the gallery with friends and family and received so many compliments – Danielle’s work is simply stunning. Danielle has a great esthetic and skills but what sets her apart is her process. She took the time to get to know each member of my family before the shoot with simple questions that gave her insight into what would be special to us. This made the photos meaningful on a whole other level as they are in a location and have elements incorporated that have deep meaning to us as a family. I met Danielle when we were on the same team in the corporate world. She was amazing to work with, very smart and enthusiastic with a great attitude and ALWAYS smiling and positive. She brings all that, and more, to her photography. She has an eye for beauty and the ability to capture it in her photography. Last year she captured the essence of my uncooperative Alaskan Malamute, landing him the coveted position of "cover dog" on a specialized calendar. We will treasure that forever. She has also done the photography at my daughter's wedding. In order to really capture it, Danielle ended up shooting photos in at least 3 separate locations that day, which made it easily a 12-hour marathon for her. She gracefully and patiently herded the families and coaxed everyone to smile and enjoy the process while she captured the photos requested by the bride and groom. Her enthusiasm and good humor set everyone at ease and made it a fun experience. And - in case it's not obvious - all this took a lot of planning on her part. I don't think people realize how complex an operation it can be; this is a major life event and Danielle treated it as if it were her own. She is above all a professional who strives for perfection and she genuinely cares about her clients - she takes her role very seriously knowing that what she does captures and preserves memories for families for generations to come.
