We loved working with Danielle at the Dana Point Yacht Club for our wedding this past October! Danielle was always very responsive and very patient, answering our millions of questions leading up to our special day. She was very accommodating and really did everything she could to help bring our vision to life. The facilities are great - beautiful waterfront patios and 180 degrees of water/cliffside views from their oceanfront ballroom. All the SoCal ocean love, without getting sandy! All of our guests were impressed by the plated dinner entrees and we were able to come up with custom "bride and groom" drinks to match our personalities perfectly. Danielle offered to help set up and print out some of our last minute signs, so we didn't have to worry about things coming together. If you are looking for an ocean-front venue in South OC that has a low-key yacht club vibe (and is very reasonable for F&B and venue rental fees) - we would definitely recommend choosing this one! We had our wedding reception at the Dana Point Yacht club on 9/8/18 and it was the perfect day thanks to Danielle, the wedding/event coordinator, and all of their hard-working staff. We started working with Danielle shortly after booking the venue and she was amazing to work with from the start. She always made sure we had everything on track and helped answer our questions anytime we had them throughout the planning process. The venue comes with a lot of included items and vendors, and we were happy with everything and everyone we worked with. We honestly cannot say enough great things about Danielle, she made the planning process easier on us and was so helpful. The Yacht club provides all the food and drinks, and everything was great and ran so smoothly. We had a buffet and had an open bar. The food was delicious and our guests for our wedding of 100 people never had to wait longer than a few minutes for a drink, even after the rush to the bar after the ceremony. The pricing for this venue is reasonable considering everything that was included. If you are on the fence about this venue, I would say that it is absolutely worth a look. The views are beyond beautiful and there many rooms at this venue to have your wedding and or reception .We will always be beyond grateful to Danielle and the entire staff for making our day beyond a dream. We booked our wedding reception at the Dana Point Yacht Club and it was absolutely amazing. Not only is the venue gorgeous and the harbor background a unique and stunning view, the head event coordinator, Danielle is absolutely wonderful to work with. From the moment we first looked at the venue online, to emailing Danielle and setting an appointment, to touring the venue, phone calls, emails, the menu tasting, and everything in between, we were blown away. The Dana Point Yacht Club is absolutely amazing! We are getting married here on 11.3.18 (I'll update after with photos) and I know it will be perfect! Danielle is the head event coordinator and is completely wonderful.  From the moment I first emailed her asking for more information, to touring the venue, to misc phone calls and emails, to our menu tasting and to our final review of all of the important details of our big day, she and the Yacht Club have been fantastic!  Danielle is easy to work with, timely in her responses and truly provides the best customer service.  She has always answered all of my questions big or small and has accommodated my fiance and I from day one in terms of budget and vision. She's made our entire wedding planning process easy and fun! I can't say enough good things about Danielle and the Yacht Club. My brother held his wedding here and it was beautiful!!  They held the ceremony outside overlooking the water.  Cocktail hour was also held outdoors and then we moved indoors, again overlooking the water, for the reception.  The food was delicious.  Loved  the coconut shrimp during cocktail hour.  During the reception,  we started off with a fresh salad. I had chosen the steak as my meal and it was almost perfectly cooked (I prefer well done), followed by an ensemble of delectable desserts.  The staff was perfect. My sister had commented how they were practically invisible,  just as they should be during events.  Meaning water glasses get filled and plates get cleared without noticing.  When we did interact with the staff (bartender,  wait staff when needed, etc) they were all very friendly and helpful.  The bartender also had a great memory.  He remembered my drink and I had only ordered 1 before that.  We had a blast! I can’t say enough good stuff about Danielle and her staff in the Special Events Department. I was privileged enough to find this venue through WeddingWire and then later, my company ended up working on their facility after an unfortunate water damage. From the moment I stepped onto the Property, I fell in love with the ambiance, location and spectacular views. After the damage was mitigated and all of the Restoration work was complete - that just added to the beauty of this venue.

Danielle and the General Manager, Russell, were gracious enough to accommodate my two children during the meal tasting, they recommended vendors with whom we could meet and eventually hire. She took the time to answer my many questions and had the patience to help me through the planning process.

In the end, our special day will sure to be magical in every sense of the word - and all because of the professionalism and talent that shows in all they do. More...

This is such a beautiful reception venue. From the hardwood floors to the chandeliers on the ceiling... to the breathtaking views of the Dana Point Harbor. .. all of our guests commented how beautiful the wedding was. Danielle was such a pleasure to work with. She was willing to work with our budget, and was very patient with us when it came to last minute changes (which makes a huge difference!) We also had so many moving parts--- we had a Korean tea ceremony during dinner for the guests to watch, and she was very accommodating to our needs and what we needed to make it possible. The cocktail hour location is right by the water with string lights above. We were also able to convert that area into a s'mores pit later on that night. This review is for a wedding reception. Danielle took care of us from the start and was so easy and honest to work with. Day of was great as well. Staff was very attentive and kind.They did take away plates too soon though. Some guests were dancing when cake was served and before they got back it was gone. Our experience with the DPYC was amazing! Danielle was such an expert planner and made wonderful suggestions -- the venue looked absolutely spectacular for our small wedding. Every little detail was taken care of and nothing was overlooked. She even went into the bathroom with me and helped me figure out how to pin my 15-point (!) bustle on my dress! She also had all of our belongings waiting for us the next day when we picked up the leftover cake and flowers. My wedding was at the DPYC this past Thursday.The moment I saw this venue, I fell in love. I met Danielle on a Saturday morning and she showed us around. She had many pictures and ideas to share which helped me envision my wedding, considering I didn't picture what my wedding would look like when I was a little girl.Danielle was very responsive to emails and calls and always made time for us to meet up to discuss the planning progress.  She made the whole process as simple as possible.Day of was AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL. I was in awe when I walked in seeing the ceremony and reception set up. Even though I was late to my own wedding, Danielle was there to keep the guests occupied.During the reception, everyone was so friendly and accommodating. All of my guests were taken care of with a smile. Even though there was another event going on at the same time, Danielle was always checking in with us to make sure my husband and I were doing well. She even helped us pack up at the end of the night.Everything turned out perfectly. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. Danielle was amazing in helping in anyway needed. We had our cocktail hour and wedding reception at the Dana Point Yacht Club and it was absolutely perfection! Danielle from start to finish was so wonderful to work with! You can tell that she loves what she does! She made the planning process so easy and worked so well with our wedding planner Simone from OC Beach Weddings. First of all, the views are unmatched! Our wedding was October 1, and we held the cocktail reception on the patio outside of the oceanfront ballroom and our guests enjoyed an incredible sunset. The tray-passed appetizers were absolute perfection with so many of our guests telling us how tasty everything was! Then the dinner reception started right at twilight and the oceanfront ballroom was nothing short of spectacular! I have attached a picture and will attach more once I get my professional photography back! The room...was...stunning! Danielle and her team executed flawlessly! Danielle even worked the event and checked in with me and my groom throughout dinner to ensure that we were all set. My husband and I chose to have our wedding here 9-24-16 and could NOT be happier!!! The venue was beyond gorgeous and perfect- with 360 degree views of the surrounding harbor.  The ballroom was elegant and spacious and particularly nice since it lead to an outside deck for happy hour! The best part of this venue was all the amazing help we received from Danielle Hunt! Danielle, ever since day one of showing me the Yacht Club, went above and beyond to help plan the wedding reception I always dreamed of! I had many special requests and Danielle not only made them happen- but she thought of the amazing idea of doing sparklers at the end for our send off which made the night complete! Had our wedding reception here on August 27, 2016 and I am so happy we chose the DPYC! From the start Danielle was such a pleasure to work with. My husband and I live on the East Coast, so planning a wedding 3000 miles away was a bit stressful, but Danielle was able to answer all our questions and keep our mind at ease. The club is so relaxed and does not have the same strict rules as some other venues we researched. We were able to have candles out on the table and customize our menu and drinks without feeling like we were being nickel and dimed for everything. You definitely get a lot for the amount you spend here in relation to the venues in the area. We were able to extend our reception until 1:30am with a small fee and had no issues with any noise restraints (we had a 7 piece band perform; Pop Vinyl from San Diego... AMAZING!!) . More...
