DD | LA is a boutique landscape architecture studio that emphasizes contemporary landscape design and construction solutions.

We believe projects are rooted in their region and we respond to these landscape typologies through local materials & plants, accentuating the site's landform, and being sensitive to the existing biological community. Clients are often inspired by the magic of a site and it is the responsibility of the designer to honor and celebrate those salient qualities. Sometimes the answer is to let the site speak for itself, while other times bolder interventions are required. Fostering genus loci and promoting a sense of landscape legacy are our paramount goals.

Every project requires a team to bring a project from conception to completion. The clients, designers, builders, and other team members all have a seat at the table. DD | LA has developed a great team network through a commitment to project success.

DD | LA sets out from the start of every project to effectively manage time, resources, and workflow to enable every project to receive full attention. To ensure that the design team can implement the design it is important that mechanisms are in place to connect the dots from design through construction. By continuously keeping a finger on the pulse of each project we are able to adjust to schedule ebb and flow.
