I am new to the area and needed an expert colorist to dye my hair which, having been born a red head, has a very resilient red base and tends to become easily brassy. After reading the wonderful reviews written for Kalet, I called the salon and the booked a free consultation appointment so she could evaluate my hair and understand my goals. Kalet began with a de-mineralization process to remove the chemical buildup in my hair. Then she worked her magic! Kate Carbone is a life saver, hair magician, considerate, kind and gentle stylist.I had recently went to a new salon, and the results were horrible. So horrible that I was met with a depression that rocked my core. In the middle of a divorce when I needed to feel my most confident and best, I felt utterly ugly, gloomy, self-conscious, and unrecognizable to myself.I was recommended to Kalet by a friend, and upon calling the salon found out she was out of town, I begged, could anyone, I'll take anyone in the salon, I need a color correction and I need it fast as I am leaving the state and I knew my appearance would ruin my experience as it had ruined the five days I lived with this awful dye job from a separate salon that was not willing to refund it and I did not trust to rectify it properly.Kate had an opening, I saw her Instagram and immediately felt I was in the right place. I privately texted her the photographs so she could mentally and physically prepare for what she would see the next day. She was so understanding and for the first time I stopped crying and felt a glimmer of hope. It's amazing how much how your hair can affect you. it sounds so trivial but it truly had a mental impact on me in so many ways -And financially, when I was already in a position that treating myself to begin with was a splurge.She spent almost seven hours fixing my hair. In the end I ended up with a look I had been trying to achieve for years! -not just getting me back to a color I can live with, literally a color and style that matched my skin tone, the way my hair dries naturally, and I walked away with my hair not only beautiful but intact. She was so patient, and so diligent in making sure that my hair would not be compromised after being bleached and dyed to death almost a week prior.I hate that it took having to have my hair destroyed to find her, but I am thankful in a weird way that it did because otherwise I never would have. She deserves this review, and anyone who sees her should sing her praises here online, though selfishly I don't want her to get booked up too fast but what she did for me, I cannot help but rave and spread the word about her skill, talent, personality and true compitence about the science of color, and color correction.Thank you Kate for giving me my confidence back. This review is for Kalet. I found her on Instagram and she was able to move some things around and squeeze me in two days later! This was awesome because I was dying to cut my hair after letting it grow out for my wedding. I decided to get balayage and a haircut at the same time and it worked out really well. I reviewed some photos with Kalet before we started and she absolutely delivered on the cut and the color! The pictures I took don't really do justice, but the color looks beautiful and bold in the sun and mellow/ chill when not directly in the light. It's the perfect warm, multi-dimensional look I was looking for and I felt confident from her Instagram photos that she could handle a wide range of hair colors and types. I have been getting my hair done by Kalet at this salon for the past 6 years. She is by far the best hairstylist in the valley. I have always had rather difficult hair to cut and style. However, Kalet has surpassed my expectations with each appointment and turned something seemingly unmanageable into a masterpiece. She is now the only hair stylist I trust. This is the best salon experience I've ever had. Not snobby like the typical Scottsdale salon, and the prices are very reasonable. Saro did my balayage and it turned out better than I expected. I had previously used a box dye and understood that he probably couldn't lighten my hair as much as the picture I showed him. I've worked with Milana about three times now and her work with color is absolutely beautiful! She has been very flexible with me and always finds creative solutions for the style you want. Â For example, I wanted to add some ombre highlights, but was unsure if I wanted to go full ombre and she was able to incorporate subtle, beautiful highlights for me to try before I returned for a more dramatic change. This place ROCKS!!! I was in the area for a weekend conference and literally walked in to this place. Front desk was very friendly and accommodating. I was assigned to SHANNON who went above and beyond in fixing my hair. She demonstrated expertise in hair treatment and ways to achieve great color/highlights for my hair. She presented options and strategies to help me make an inform decision. That to me is serious business. She is passionate on what she do. Truly impressive! I would recommend this salon to others for the following reasons:1. I was able to call and get an appointment within an hour on a busy Saturday early afternoon. 2. The salon is clean and appears to be well maintained.3. The staff and clientele are on the older side so their not discussing inappropriate matters like I've seen at other hair salons.4. The turnover rate is fairly low. My mom has seen the same hairdresser here for several years. Reasons I can't give 5/5:1. My hair was cut shorter and now looks healthier but does not appear to be cut in layers or have any sort of style to it as you would imagine your hair to look after paying a lot of money.2. The price is more than other competitors.3. Because they squeezed me into the schedule I feel the hair dresser may have been a little rushed and was trying to cut as quick as possible.All in all, I'm happy my hair feels healthier and all the split ends are gone. Was it worth the price? Possibly. In the end I'll probably return if it's a basic hair cut and need a quick trim but I would go elsewhere for the more expensive things such as color/highlighting services. More...

I found this wonderful place thanks to my husband. I moved here from San Diego, Ca and had been a loyal customer to my hairdresser for 10 years. My husband assured me that his gal, Lisa, was simply the best! 2 1/2 years later, she does my hair, my moms hair, my in-laws and my husbands for a whopping 10-15 years! She is kind -hearted, honest, friendly and of course stylin! I was looking for a new salon in the area that wasn't ridiculously expensive, and D'ambrosio's did the trick! When I made my appointment thy asked me to describe my hair a little so they could match me to a stylist who would work well with my hair. I set an appointment with Vail and was happy with the outcome! I barely had to wait when I got there, and then the haircut itself was quick and exactly what I had asked for! I was done and had paid within 30 minutes of arriving at the salon. Only downside it that they only accept cash or check tips. Absolutely love this salon! I wanted to go lighter with my hair and was inspired by the balayage look. I have a trip coming up later this week and had high hopes of getting it done before I left, but I knew that would definitely be a challenge with it being last minute. During my consultation with Kalet, she was very professional and listened carefully to what I wanted. She was also able to fit me into her busy schedule, so I could rock my new hair on my trip. I am new to the area and asked a friend for a recommendation, she told me that she and her husband went to D'Ambrosia and really liked it. I have had some bad experiences with hair dressers. When I called for my appointment I asked for someone good at coloring corrections. Â I was lucky enough to get Nydia and am very happy with the outcome! Â She listened very carefully to what I wanted and asked a few clarifying questions, then described what she thought would work best. I couldn't be happier with the quality of service I received.  I  just relocated to Scottsdale and made the mistake of having my hair done at a chain.  It was devastating, not only did the chain do an awful job with my highlights and low lights,  they cut off a good bit of hair.  I have never had short hair.  My hair was dark and short.  Not what I expected or paid for.  I locked myself inside my bedroom a full day.  Depression set in.Eventually I ventured out, remembering the salon I saw by Home Goods the previous Sunday (it was closed at the time).  I walked in on the brink of tears and a really sweet lady greeted me (forgive me for not remembering her name, she is  lovely).   She really gave me great advice.  First,  she said call the chain and complain.  Secondly she assured me it could be fixed.  Then she arranged a consult with Ivette.  Ivette sat me down, looked at my hair. She knew exactly what had been done wrong.  She told me what she would do and the price.  The price was actually better than the chain (which was running a special).  She scheduled an appointment as soon as she could;  two days later.That day couldn't arrive soon enough.  I went in (today) looking like Morticia Adams  had been attacked by a weed eater and left looking exactly the way I had hoped I looked after  the chain destroyed my hair.  She fixed it.  The color is fabulous. Regarding my new short hair style.  Ivette actually fixed  that too.   While I can't wait until it grows out, she gave me a very professional look.   Prior it looked as if someone had snipped my ponytail and sent me on my way.  I feel pretty and confident.  I also want to say that the entire staff is very knowledgeable.  I overheard them talking about the latest and greatest products and techniques.  They work as a team. They are kind.  They listen.  They are professional. My hair (which was damaged at the chain salon) looks beautiful!  Its noteworthy to say that because of the kind receptionist's encouragement and smart advice  I did receive a refund from the chain.  I am clearly passive, hence why  I just paid and left the chain  that did a lousy job.  I couldn't be happier and I am glad I found my new stylist Ivette and a great salon!  I couldn't be happier or feel prettier.
