What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The proper, professional equipment for each type of photography, technical know how, lighting, spontaneity, and a "have fun" attitude. To do great photography, you have to love it...and I do.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Type of photography, location(s), number of people, shot list, requirement for photo editing/optimization, and budget. I am not as concerned about the time onsite as doing whatever it takes to exceed your expectations. Even though most of my work is done within a 50-mile radius of Colorado Springs, I am willing to travel farther, if required.
What do you love most about your job?
Creating photography that produces a visceral emotion. I feel the "sunshine from both sides" when I am using my God-given gift while bringing joy to those who desire a uniquely special end result.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been doing photography most of my life. Over time, I have challenged myself to continually learn and implement new ideas as they apply to photographic art. It wasn't until years into this profession that I realized how important it was to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. There is no greater happiness for me than to do something well and then be appreciated for it. Being a part of saving these special "moments in time" for others is important to me.

Photography is done on location. The delivery of the final product can be handled in a variety of ways.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Like so many others, I do everything that is recommended by the health professionals. Social distancing is an integral part of photography. I will do whatever makes my client comfortable.
Senior Photos
For seniors, I will work with you to select 2-3 locations for the photo shoot. I really like doing senior pictures because I believe I'm good at capturing the true nature of my clients.
I promise to work with you for as long as it takes to get the uniquely special shots you desire.
Family Photography
No matter the location, I will propose a variety of poses that will highlight the family bond.
Toddler Photography
Since spontaneity is my forte, this is the easiest and most rewarding photography for me. Unlike most photographers, I am not constrained by the clock. I will work with you for as long as it takes to provide a spectacular collection of photos--photos that will exceed your expectations.
Sports Photography

Animal Photography
I am good at capturing photos of your family pet, whether it's part of a family photo or individual shots of their whimsical ways.
Equipment Photography
In addition to photography, I worked many years as a high-tech instructor. Because I possessed the dual skill set, I was often called upon to get professional photos for catalogs, marketing materials and student guides. Upon request, I will provide you with a wide-range of my work in this area.
Small Wedding Photography
I prefer photographing smaller weddings. Generally speaking, there is less confusion and fewer people to "corral" for group photos. And, with smaller weddings, I am able to capture the true essence of the day. Be assured, I will provide you with a wide array of natural, candid photos of the bride, groom and special guests.
