What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Joy. I find joy in capturing images that will be loved. There is an importance to posing, lighting and composition but the photos that hold joy are the real prized possessions.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What are you hoping for me to accomplish? The more I know about what my client wants the better. We talk about pintrest boards and any other images that strike inspiration. Many clients just want me to lead and I am happy doing that.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing my photos and videos bring joy to my clients. I love when I go into a home of a repeat customer and see my photos hung on their walls! Especially when the children have grown so much! I love knowing that I captured that time that is now gone.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My step father and my aunt both owned their own businesses. I was only 17 at the time and couldn't work full time because I was still in school. The Austintown Community channel got me my big break that turned into a front page story in the tribune. It just naturally flowed from there.
Why should our clients choose you?
Experience, passion and joy. I still love taking photos and videos for people. Even after all these years I am not bored as each project is different. I also try very hard to price myself so that not only the rich can have professional photos.
