We completed our new home in May, 2016 and over the months since we added custom shutters or programmable shades, and drapes to all windows. Brenda Baxter was magical. Her design style combined with her attention to detail created beautiful accents in our rooms. While we did not have a specific budget, she gave me options and was conscious of value. She was reliable, timely, and communicative on the status of each piece. From the beginning concept, CCD was helpful in developing a visual rendering of what the finished project would look like. Working with Brenda Baxter was a pleasure. I had Hunter Douglas window treatments installed in several rooms, including the living room that overlooks the park at White Rock Lake. Brenda offered various selections and we decided on a formal look for most rooms and more casual shades for the den. Brenda was professional and knew her products well. Because my home was built in 1950, we had to deal with window frames that were not necessarily even due to shifting. Brenda brought in the experts for exact specs and installation. Some months later we had some issues due to our uneven frames and Brenda had someone call right away to schedule adjustment. I truly felt like I was working with a good friend. CDD provided shutters and roller blinds for our home. Brenda came out to our home and walked through all of the window treatment options. She spent a significant amount of time discussing best investment options, colors, materials, estimated order to installation time, etc. She came 3 times to the home before we signed a contract with no hesitations. The shutters that we went with even allowed us to custom match the trim color of our home instead of having to select a stock color. There were a couple of issues with the roller blinds (the fabric freys) but she has a new one ordered and installed within 2 weeks. I would highly recommend folks give CDD an opportunity to discuss window treatment options. They were not the least expensive of the 6 vendors we interviewed; however, they were the most professional with HIGH quality products. More...

We had Hunter Douglas blinds with remote control installed in our large windows. We also had beautiful tie back drapes made from silk that are beautifully lined, so that they hang in dramatic folds. The tie backs are custom made and have jewels hanging that tie together with tassels of ribbon. The installation was on time and professionally done. Brenda is a joy to work with.

I called her back to make cushions for my outdoor furniture. She also recovered a bench that we use in our bathroom. Her fabrics are lovely. I have recommended her to friends.

The fabrics she works with are very high in quality and are not what you would find searching for fabrics on your own. We had a designer Living Furniture suit that was discountinued and had a single easy chair that had wore the arms out by time and use. Had found part of the material but not all. Called Custom Drapery and Design to see if the could make this piece still fit in. To my surprize it looks like it belonged with the collection after the disigned and recovering the chair from top to bottom. The chair is now part of the accent of the room! They went over the Top! Custom Drapery Designs provided our home with 6 sets of plantation shutters: 4 over sliding glass doors and 2 over windows.
The service from beginning to end was excellent. I had trouble deciding what to get and Brenda Baxter was extremely patient. She consistently showed us options and answered all our questions. Her communications are always prompt and she keeps all her commitments.
Installation had some challenges because of the sliding glass doors and proximity to kitchen cabinets and she was innovative in helping us work out solutions. Her attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and coordinating all aspects of the project, including installation, are exceptional.
