- great place to stay, easy to access the train- very quiet usually. Sometimes with weddings there may be kids running around and in elevators, but not unusual for a large hotel. - pool was a little cold, but we knew they were just fixing it.The most amazing thing was that my child lost their AirPods and didnt know it until a day later. I emailed the front desk, and they provided me with the claim process. I didnt think that they would be found (i mean, who turns in AIrPods?!?). While I have not used the actual hotel, by the kindness of the staff and the great looking convention center I can infer that it is a good place to stay at, granted the view is a bit dreary.

I did not know what to expect due to the fact it looked like a business center from outside, but very impressed with inside. We ordered room service and I do have to say it was the best service we have ever received! Great tasting food and our waiter was extremely extremely nice and funny! We loved our stay, it provided activities for the kids as well as our more mature group. The swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, workout area were very clean and well kept. Out trips outside were convenient as the location was good for easy access to the Mall or downtown Minneapolis. Friendly staff, relatively clean rooms, convenient complimentary shuttle and free wifi. Beds were clean and comfortable. Very convenient location, with a large pool, hot tub and sauna. Went down to the restaurant and seated ourselves, as the sign denoted, and waited for at least 10 minutes before getting up to find somewhere else to eat. Not a single person was behind the bar or working the floor. Maybe some understaffing issues, or they had an emergency to attend to? I have been staying at this location for over 18 years. The rooms are ok and have been updated with in the last 5-8 years. I normally stay on the Concierge floor and was told that Spier elite members are now on the 8th floor. Not sure why I could not stay on that floor as he didn’t say it was already full? I did have access to the floor but they now close at 7:30 PM instead of 9:00PM. Not sure I’ll stay at this site again as it seems to be losing its appeal as a Crown Property. This was the first time I was not recognized as a Spire Elite member, nor was I offered amenity points at check in. It wasn’t busy as I was the only one checking in and I also forgot to ask for the points. Next two nights at HI properties I was recognized and got amenity points.
