What do you love most about your job?
I love snapping that perfect shot that will be looked back on for the rest of your life with the fondest of memories. I think this is the most rewarding job and get thrilled each time I work with a client. Knowing my work will outlive me and bring warmth and joy, happiness and sorrow, it reminds me that I have a great responsibility to do my best every single time.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Every breath I take involves me doing something in a creative manner. For most of my life, I have been a musician. About 3 years ago, I got incredibly sick and was physically unable to play music for the first time in my life. It devastated me. The creativity in me was bursting to be released. I had always looked at photography as something I would ultimately get around to and decided that it was finally time. It was a crossroads of sorts (hence the name of my photography business). As soon as I start snapping my first pictures, the world opened up an entirely new beauty to me. I was hooked immediately! I learned and absorbed from everywhere I could and just immersed myself in the art. Originally, I did this as a means of expressing my creativity for creativity's sake. Now that I have found out that others are enjoying my work, I am enamored and have found even more inspiration.
Why should our clients choose you?
In all honesty, clients shouldn't just choose me. They should choose who is best for what they are looking for. While it is my hope that I am the best for the job, if I'm not, that is ok. As long as they get the best person who can actualize their vision! I do love pushing myself beyond my expectations as something great always seems to happen, though. Whether it is a wedding, anniversary party, portraits, or a rave (yes, I've had a client ask me to shoot their rave once), I love my craft and will find ways to ensure that the pictures that I deliver will encompass the distinctiveness and uniqueness that surround that event.
