I create interior illustrations of any quantity, done in any style and medium. Each illustration is priced anywhere from $30-$45. Additionally, I create book cover designs to specification for $50. I also do layout for print as well as ebook for $5 per page.

Describe your creative process.
I will first create sketches for the number of required illustrated pages, if needed, a book cover for $100. I am able to work with direction and/or my own creative ideas. Upon completing this work, the client will have the opportunity to review the work and request any revisions. Upon approval of the sketches, I will develop them into final compositions, and the client will have another opportunity to review. I will then format the book, using InDesign if the client wishes, and the fee for such is $5 per page. Updates will be provided on a weekly basis, unless otherwise specified by client. I also want to note that I offer clients the opportunity to send me a picture or written description as reference for a test drawing, free of charge, before deciding to collaborate with me.
What information do you need from a client before you can start work?
The most important information will be the number of pages which helps me to determine an estimated timeframe to complete the work, and it will help me to estimate the total cost which is based on my current rate of $15 an hour or $45 per illustration (subject to change as business grows), plus 6% sales tax that is required by the state of Pennsylvania. It would also be helpful at this point to mention need for book cover and layout to be able to factor those fees into a final estimate. Sizing, Style and medium are also criteria I would like to know up front so as to avoid any misunderstanding. Also before any work begins, it is important that we establish a contract that addresses the above information as well as verification of credit for my work, grant of usage rights, and royalties.
What do you love most about your job?
I love using my imagination from conceptualizing the drawings to the final compositions in which style is brought to life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have always wanted to put my education and talent to work in a creative way, and I a recurring urge to illustrate. The catalyst was an ad to illustrate a book in my local paper in December 2012 which was my revelation that I really had to embark on this journey and learn as much as I could.
Why should our clients choose you?
I have successfully illustrated and formatted 4 books. I have experience with Adobe digital software (Photoshop & Illustrator) as well as publishing tools which include Adobe InDesign as well as Kindle Direct Publishing and CreateSpace. I will deliver quality work, and I will provide revisions in a timely manner. I am able to meet deadlines, and I also provide weekly status updates.
Formatting
In addition to illustrating your book I will format it, using Adobe IndeSign at $5 per page for self publishing.

I charge $50 for this service. As with the interior illustrations, it can be done using digital or traditional medium, and it can also be done in any style.
