I was referred to Courtney's by another service that didn't do business in our area of the city (Bywater). Just after booking them for services and a pre-visit I had a death in the family and the schedule needed to be augmented to account for our revised travel schedule. They didn't hesitate to accommodate our extended needs and their service was impeccable. I hired Courtney and Jack to walk my 120 pound, 10 year old Great Dane, Macy, shortly after relocating to New Orleans last year. I'm a condo dweller and travel often, so it was critical that I find reliable care for my giant fur baby. Jack was always available and flexible, as I would often have last minute changes to my schedule. He walked Macy almost daily and sent me pictures and texts with each visit. I was home on a few occasions when Jack came to walk her, and it was very apparent how much she enjoyed their time together. In May, Jack noticed that Macy had a pronounced limp on their afternoon walk and immediately called me. I took her to the vet the next morning, and she was diagnosed with a very aggressive form of bone cancer. There was no treatment besides pain management, and Jack continued his daily visits with her. She still seemed very healthy and happy with a good quality of life. Almost a month to the day after her diagnosis, I had an early morning flight for a business trip to Atlanta. When I landed, Jack called to tell me that Macy had taken a turn, and that I needed to get home. He stayed by her side for several hours until I was able to get back home. She lost her battle with cancer that evening. Words cannot express how much I appreciate all that Jack did for Macy. It's one thing to have a dog walker, but Jack went well above and beyond the call of duty and became like family to my sweet girl. I'm thankful to have the gift of the text messages and pictures that he sent each day; they're a journal of her last months. You can be sure that once I've had some time to heal and decide to bring another dog into my life, Courtney and Jack will be the first people I call. Thank you!!!!! More...

Courtney and Jack came by in the evenings to take care for my dog who was recovering from knee surgery while my boyfriend was at work and I was visiting the UK. It was no doubt an usual situation for them because she was in such a delicate state, and I think they did a really good job. I was so nervous and guilty about leaving her while she was still limping and recovering! But Courtney communicated with my boyfriend daily and emailed me a few times during my trip to let me know how Brownie was doing, so I felt better about things. She had to apply heating pad before and ice after a short walk in the yard, and fed and (most importantly) petted and hung out with my baby. I was volunteering at an animal shelter and wanted a way to work closely with animals.

Pet Sitting
For the well being of your pets, we recommend cats get a minimum of 1 visit per day, and dogs a minimum of 2 visits.

A walk or a let-out for dogs

Accident cleanup
Bring in mail/newspapers

Administer medication as needed

8pm-8am (can work with you on alternate time frames)
Overnight stays are a good option when you have to go away and your four legged friend can't come along. This helps alleviate stress and allows them to keep their routine. I will respect your home and property and leave things in the same condition if not better.
