The food is always great, Jesse up front is a great asset to the store and has a great attitude and the pizza is well worth the price. In town for a Michigan football game I visited the Original Cottage Inn on the recommendations of others and I was not disappointed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Friday lunch buffet was tempting but I opted for a 12x12 deep dish pepperoni pizza and it was delicious! I will be returning to this location again on future trips to Ann Arbor. More...

I placed my order via YELP. My order was confirmed and "someone" took my money from PayPal @ 6:46 pm.... Delivery was supposed to occur between 7:54-814. At 8:15, the app notified me 'there might be a problem with my order, it was going to be late (DUH!) and to call GrubHub Customer Service". I did. The rep could not find my order by phone # or email!! He asked for an order #, which I couldn't find and he kept trying to buy time, putting me on hold 2-3 times and after 24 minutes (!!), still couldn't find my order.... He asked, "May I put you on hold for 5(!) Minutes?"- to which I said "Yes, bcuz I don't want to lose contact!  (By now, I am Really Hungry and PO'd!) About 2 minutes later I was disconnected!  Meanwhile the order came (@ 8:45) and the delivery guy apologized and explained that GrubHub can't communicat with the store and they would have given me a more realistic delivery time, had I ordered directly from the store.* I had no idea, as I was following directions from YELP. Technology- HHHMMPH!  *This was my 1st (and probably last time) using GrubHub. My food was warm and good, as expected (when it finally arrived about a half hour later than expected)... Lost a star today. I stood in the lobby for 35 minutes today. I understand unforseen issues happen. But if you guys are getting that backed up, tell me an hour instead of 15-20 minutes and we won't have a problem and you won't have a dozen pissed off customers in the lobby

I use to be downtown all the time, this was my first trip back in a while. We had a great experience at the bar. Jen and Fransisco were on point, we got there early and then watched the two of them basically handle everything. They were the best bartenders. We have met Jen in the past and she has been wonderful but the two of them together were really great. We had an amazing best of cottage inn, our favorite the large round! Our drinks were great! Came to The Original Cottage Inn for a friend's birthday dinner. I love Cottage Inn's pizza and try to get takeout whenever I'm near one so was excited to try the OG version. She made a reservation for around 12 people and we were seated in a private-ish area with a booth and a round table near it that accommodated a few more that couldn't all fit at the booth. Atmosphere was a typical pub/bar-feel. Restrooms were oddly located only in the basement and upstairs though.The Original Cottage Inn offers a  larger menu than carry-out locations with several baked pasta dishes and house specialties like chicken Parmesan, chicken marsala, eggplant parm, ravioli, as well as several dinner salads and of course their delicious pizzas.  Four of us split a pizza. We ordered the deep dish full tray pizza for $22 which was about $5.50 a piece. We had The Best of Cottage Inn pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and herbs. Loved the deep dish crunchy crisp crust and flavorful cheese and sauce and the pizza did not disappoint. Several friends ordered their own individual pasta dishes. One friend ordered the seafood trio pasta with scallops, shrimp, and salmon tossed in a roasted red pepper cream sauce and fettuccine, but she said she was really disappointed with it and that it was kind of bland and flavorless. I've had their lasagna from other locations before and loved it. The pasta dishes were a little pricier and were around $16-$18. Another person ordered a personal cauliflower crust pizza which she liked. We also ordered several appetizers to share. We had the hot trio sampler platter which came with mozzarella sticks, bruschetta, and calamari for $13. The calamari was very good but the bruschetta toasts were a little hard and difficult to bite into. We also had the mama meatballs which were topped with delicious gooey melted cheese and sauce. They were very good! We also shared the goat cheese dip which was super delicious! They also offered a full beer and cocktail menu. I had the blackberry bourbon smash, which was good but was definitely heavier on the bourbon than blackberry flavor. A couple friends ordered the Kentucky bourbon and Michigan mules and they really liked those too. One friend ordered a nitro Rubaeus beer and said it was not very good because it was brought to her warm. Overall, I was very satisfied with the pizza, delicious appetizers and cocktail I had. Everything was delicious. Service was great! Our servers were attentive and friendly. Our water glasses were always kept  full, they easily split checks without any problems, and quickly brought out to-go boxes for leftovers. I'd definitely recommend sharing one of their delicious pizzas. You really can't go wrong there, they are very good. I'd definitely stop in again and enjoyed my meal here. More...

The vegan cheese and vegan sausage was delicious. The cheese melted better than blaze pizza. There was a 20 minute wait but I placed my order as a walk in so I didn't mind. The cashier was really nice and helpful when asking if they offered the new vegan options. I'm so glad cottage inn offers vegan choices. This will be my new go to for pizza! More...

I picked up some pizza today right around NFL kick off time (1:00pm). The young woman that was working was so incredibly friendly and bubbly. It was obvious that she was busy, but she still had such a positive attitude and greeted me with a genuine smile and cashed me out quickly. The food here is totally yummy and worth every penny. I ordered delivery for the greek salad, bbq chicken pizza, blackened chicken pasta and the sweet potatoe fries. I got the artichoke chicken pasta in my delivery instead of the blackened chicken by mistake but I had zero regrets because the dish was made to perfection. My poor experience was met with a considerable response from Cottage inn. They have since provided good food and service so I'm giving them back a few stars. I have eaten a lot of Cottage Inn pizza. I dare say I am an expert at eating Cottage Inn pizza. Last night I ordered my usual pizza for delivery. It was the worst pizza I have ever eaten from Cottage Inn. The crust was barely edible, and the sun dried tomatoes were burned to a blacked crisp. In addition to this transgression, this particular location has a spotty record of mistakes and poor quality. I ordered a small cheese pizza with 1/2 green pepper and a small side of stix.  It arrived in about an hour and was hot and fresh.  The pizza was made correctly with the perfect amount of sauce.  The crust was fluffy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside.  I loved the sesame seed crust because they add the seeds before baking the pizza and it really toasts the seeds and brings out their oil and flavor.  The stix were sprinkled generously with Parmesan cheese, were hot and fluffy, and they included a free dipping pizza sauce. The delivery driver was through EatStreet and was polite.  I was ordering on a Sunday night too, after 10 pm and even though they close at midnight, I know that is a hard shift for the workers.  So I really appreciated them taking the time to make the pizza and stixs well.
