We LOVE Coronado's Gluten Free Pantry! We order off the weekly emails (coffee cake and pumpkin bread are insane) and we recently had their team make our daughter's birthday cake. I am so ecstatic that I chose Coronado Gluten Free Pantry to make my wedding cake for my destination wedding at Coronado Island. Roanna was very knowledgeable with her suggestions and very patient through our many e-mails sent back and forth. My cake was exactly what I envisioned for my small and simple wedding. It tasted delicious and looked even more amazing! This is a bakery made from gluten free heaven. I had the multigrain bread at Communal Coffee when I ordered the avocado toast and it was to die for. I'm not even exaggerating. The bread was so thick and fluffy, but had the perfect crispy crust. The flavor was mild but delicious as I could feel the love baked into it. As a gluten free customer, it's always difficult to enjoy meals because there's always a bread, pastry or tortilla I can't eat, but I'm pretty sure I've found the solution!! THIS BREAD. Order up everyone, you will not be disappointed. I have raved about this one slice of toast to everyone I've come across since eating it at Communal and I can't wait to get my hands on a couple of loaves. Tried these at the 92118 Day & immediately wished I would have bought more!  I was totally amazed at how delicious the GF snickernoodle cookies were! Thankfully, I had grabbed a business card & found out that I can order online & pick up more in Coronado, which is what I do now.  Bought the chocolate eclairs & serioulsy have never had a better one, not even in Paris! Thought there must have been a mistake & I phoned & texted them, just to make sure they were really DF & GF (before I shared them with a freind who is allergic to dairy) Awesome taste, will order again! I thought my life was over when I got diagnosed with celiac disease until I found this bakery!! absolutely no exaggeration. .. I cried the first time I tried one of their bagels. And I got a coffee cake (it's BIG) thinking it would last me weeks, but I managed to eat 3/4 of it by the end of the day. So far everything I tried has completely exceeded all my expectations!!Most gluten free bakeries either have food that taste pretty good but has a funky texture or has a great texture but no real flavor and somehow the magicians at Coronado gluten free pantry have BOTH! The rest of my family (who are gluten eaters) eat ALL of the goodies I bring home from the bakerySo delicious, such nice people, absolutely love this place!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness this Chef Baker and overall Bakery are AMAZING!!!! I am in love! They make gluten free cake doughnuts and bagels. They have varying flavors and take custom orders if you call in advance. They are right off the 5 freeway and I have to say I fell in love with the vanilla strawberry combo doughnut. I called all over San Diego trying to find gluten free doughnuts and everyone had vegan but no gluten free. I was bummed. I love Coronado Gluten Free Pantry. I found them at the Saturday's farmers market in Little Italy and have been hooked ever since. I'm extremely sensitive to any gluten-free cross-contamination and have celiac's disease and this place follow strict standards that please the pallet!!! I attended the Gluten Free Expo a couple of weeks ago put on by Udi's at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.  To be honest I can't remember what I tried there, however I did purchase a coffee cake to take home. I absolutely love coffee cake and thought well it cant hurt to try a GF one. Roanna is wonderful; she let me pick up my order for the week at the North Park Farmer's market (which is a few blocks away from me), and also modified the chocolate donuts to be corn free. She is very accommodating with other allergies. Everything she makes tastes amazing. Try the banana bread, you won't be disappointed. Roanna is amazing!  Not only could I eat my wedding cake but all of our guests loved it and could not believe it was gluten-free!  I happened to stumble across Coronado's Gluten Free Pantry after the products were tagged in an Instagram photo from the Swoon event at Liberty Station last winter.  It could not have been a more fortunate find!  I am gluten-free and finding a vendor for a wedding cake that was not only gluten-free, but could offer more options than chocolate or vanilla cake with plain buttercream was really difficult.I contacted Roanna and she was really quick to call me back and send me a follow up email with the several different flavors of cake and filling that she offers.  Aside from being gluten-free, she can cater to almost any other food allergy possible if needed (soy, diary, eggs...).  We set up a wedding cake tasting which included 4 different cake flavors and 4 different fillings.  One of the unique things about this particular tasting was that the cake was set up on a platter without frosting/filling and then you could mix and match all of the cakes and fillings in different combos to see what you liked best.  Ironically, we decided on chocolate fudge cake (so unbelievably good!!!) with cream cheese filling and tangerine cake also with cream cheese filling, all frosted with a simple white buttercream.The cake was beautiful on the day of the wedding.  Roanna coordinated the drop-off and set-up with our event coordinator making it seamless for us.  She also placed our cake topper on the top tier for us prior to leaving, making sure that everything was absolutely perfect!  I highly recommend Roanna and can't wait to have another occasion to order more of her delicious cakes and baked goods!Thank you for being such an amazing part of our special day, Roanna! I found Coronado's Gluten Free Pantry through Yelp and had to try it on our recent Babymoon to Coronado. This is a small, quaint business-- from our first friendly, personal conversation to picking up my sweets on an adorable porch, I could not have been more pleased, surprised, or impressed! Finding "true" gluten-free items that are both delicious and safe is hard, particularly on vacation. It was a real treat and made the weekend that much more special. A-Maz-ing !!  We were in Coronado on vacation last week and were looking for sweets for our gluten free daughter.  First, please know that the address listed is not correct.  While there was a pop up store at this location in an art gallery, it is no longer there.  The women who worked in the gallery were kind enough to give us the owner's number so we could contact her directly.  (619) 204-9666.  We promptly called, found out what they had available that week, and a short time later went to a residence to pick up brownies, mint brownies, and meyer lemon pound cake.  To say that they were delicious is an understatement.  All ingredients are listed and everything is 100% GF.  It is taken very seriously and those with gluten allergies can indulge their sweet tooth without fear.  Next time, we're in Coronado we will call before we come into down so our GF sugar fix is waiting for us. I am a fan of this very special bakery. Each item is special, beautiful, moist and tasty. Obvious care has gone into making the bread, which is bouncy and has a texture that makes it the best, especially the white bread, that I have found in this category. We found Coronado's Gluten Free Pantry in Emerald C Gallery. The banana muffins, chocolate chip cookies, and Belgian fudge brownies we bought were sooo scrumptious! They were moist, full of flavor, and you would never know they were allergy free. We've tried items from numerous gluten free bakeries and this one comes highly recommended! This bakery is brand new and currently the owner Roanna is in the gallery Wednesdays from 2pm to 5pm. She takes custom orders, and is very friendly and attentive to a variety of dietary needs.
