prompt, friendly hosting service, bonus popcorn while we had a short wait... sat down and had waters within a minute. Sunday, brunch: I never tasted a cinnamon roll quite like their gigantaroll. ..it was PHENOMENAL and easily shareable amongst 4+. Piping hot fresh food, (the chickie tendies w cinnamon waffle & peach jalapeño glaze was to die for) our drinks never ran dry & our waitress (Katie) always had a smile while tending to our every need. 😍 We HAD to get an order to go for supper and already planning our next brunch date with even more hungry mommas who could enjoy a megamosa on a Sunday Funday!! 🤤 10/10 ☆ More...

Highly, highly recommend- the food is excellent! Especially if BBQ is what you’re craving. Their sauces are so good, we bought some to take home. We were in town for a basketball game, and as a nursing mom, I needed to pump before the game, the staff was incredibly accommodating and able to get me an extension cord so i could use their bathroom to take care of what I needed to. The staff is just so kind and accommodating. More...

HUGE shoutout to Cornbread and staff last night for taking on the Cycline Martial Arts club last night last minute. You were outstanding and handling our 45+ person unexpected drop in. Seriously. We took over the entire heated room and your staff did a phenomenal job at wrangling us, taking orders and providing great service and food. I was so impressed the way your staff and kitchen handled everything. This group hadn't seen each other in over two years and we were so happy to be able to have a place to gather, reminisce and make new memories. Thank you for the place to do it! More...

Went in for lunch; ribs were great, my daughter and I shared a rack, and had leftovers! The burger was the best my partner had ever had; I don’t know who thought to make pickles out of squash, but that is genius, and was absolutely delicious. Pickled onions served on the side of the ribs were obviously done fresh that day, and the fries were perfectly cut and seasoned. We’re going back without the little one for date night to sample the drafts! 100% recommend (also, the whole place was *spotless* and they had complimentary feminine products in the very clean restrooms, which I thought was super hospitable and nice!). Called ahead to ask if we need to make a reservation. I was told no it was first come first serve. Then we get here and bask for phone number for the reservation to be seated. While sitting and waiting, there are several open tables for a party of three. After waiting 30 minutes for a table and the tables are all open we asked why we can’t be seated. The. They took us to a seat. It’s only 7:30 on Saturday and the meat selection was sold out. More...

Finally made it in for dinner and was not disappointed. Staff was super friendly and attentive. The menu looked amazing. The burnt ends were the best I’ve ever had. Will most definitely return. The draught list was impressive although I’m no longer drinking. Check this place out if you haven’t done so. 5 stars. More...

Food is good here but placing a to go order at 5:48 with a pick up time of 7:05 when in all actuality it was not completed until 7:38 is Just really not satisfactory and very disappointing. We will rethink this before doing it again. More...

We went on a Sunday after hearing great reviews on TikTok. We ordered. First, we were told they were out of the cinnamon roll (ok, it did let us know it was in limited quality). But then, 45 minutes later with two very hungry children we were told we couldn’t have one severing of three orders of cornbread pudding we ordered, we replaced them with potatoes. Then 15 minutes after that we were told no cornbread was available, what would we like? We chose to remove one order and take other sides for the others. We weren’t pleased, but tried to be understanding and accommodating. Finally our food arrived. It was good, but the wait was long, and we got only 70% of what we ordered. We got the bill paid, and then was asked to return the mug we paid for with a drink. We walked out positive we would not return. As a manger of a food/retail business, I understand supply chain shortages and staffing issues, but the fact we were consistently told we could not have what we ordered and then forced to return a mug or pay another $20 for a mug that stated to come with a drink was ridiculous! I would have 1) either discounted the meal for the inconvenience and/or 2) not made a deal about the mug. The food was decent, but the fact that those issues lacking were just ignored was unnerving. If I paid over $100 for a meal, it would nice to be treated better for the inconvenience after inconvenience. More...

Best BBQ around by far! Highly recommended ! I unfortunately will not get takeout from here anymore! 1st time: my dog got in the garbage and ate rib bones, she got really sick, veterinarian er and lots of tlc she pulled through, only to come home, go straight to her bed and tried to eat the remaining bones she hid in her bed! 2nd time: I got my supper all plated up, put it on the couch to wash my hands (like I do every night),and she stole it and ate everything! No bones thankfully. 3rd time: I ordered, got home and ate it in my car, like it was a dirty little secret! So proud of myself I come in the house to find she had a “accident” on my brand new rug! 😡 I’m not sure what bothers me the most, she has NEVER gotten into the trash or stolen any of the food I have cooked, or the fact that Cornbred has turned my sweet little princess into a garbage eating, supper stealing jerk! I have attached a picture I took of her right after the rib bone incident but before she fell ill. As you can see she was totally remorseful. 🤦🏻♀️ More...

The BBQ was amazing. I’m always on the search for a good BBQ restaurant while I’m traveling. The meat was smoked well, everything was tender, couldn’t have been done better. What was really great was the sauces, very good flavors that were different and varied. I don’t typically do sauce, like dry rub, but they offered a great option. The two sides I had took the typical barbecue place to a elevated place that made Cornbred special and different.service was good as well. Thanks, and hope to come back to Ames again soon. More...
