Working with Dave Johnson was nothing short of...amazing! He performed amazing magic, was highly entertaining, and was a great conversationalist. All of employees thoroughly enjoyed the entertainment and he even did a trick custom to our company. The booking process was very easy and Dave was responsive and quick with responses. We will hire Dave for our next employee get together and yearly awards presentations. More...

I have seen Dave perform at several functions over a few years' time. He is well dressed, extremely talented and very professional at every function. For any kind of an executive meeting or event where he can do his great close up magic you will not be disappointed. More...

Have had the pleasure to see Dave perform many times over the years. Such a wonderful mixture of magic and comedy. Definitely one you will want to see.

Q&As

I started practicing magic at age 4 and did my first talent show at age 5. That was over 35 years ago.

Honestly this question is great for ANY entertainer other than a magician. If you know what is going to happen before it does, then the surprise and experience of magic is over before it begins. I can tell you that I make clients' names appear on the side of a deck of cards in three shuffles while I "unshuffle" them back into order. It is a pretty surreal series of moments that make my clients look amazing.

I love getting people to forget whatever problems they have in their life if only for the 7-70 minutes that I am performing for them. I also love watching them laugh and the climb that the laughter takes.

I figured that if I put a lot of time towards something, it better be something that I can do whenever I want. Although owning your own business is a daily grind, I am very fortunate that I am able to do what I love for a living.

Your clients should choose me if they want to experience mind blowing magic and side splitting comedy in a manner that is clean and family friendly.

There is a show that I do via video conference. You can see more about that at VideoConferenceMagician.com

If the client requests, I have created a show of "NO TOUCH MAGIC" that is just as entertaining.

Services

Having a cocktail party or hosting a hospitality suite? “Close-up” magic or magic that is more intimate is a great way to entertain small groups of people whether standing or sitting around a table. When the magic is performed “right under their nose” it has a deeper impact on the audience. This is very effective for getting your message across and saying thank you to a prospective client or your company.

There are times when you have everyone together at once and want to put on a show for them. As well as being one of the best close up entertainers, Dave Johnson and his assistant, Veronica, have a stand up show that is packed with audience participation, laughs and of course, magic!

Their show is called, “PINk TIE MAGIC: Cynical and Senseless Sorcery.”

It plays for large groups and small groups too (their audiences have ranged from over 1,000 to just four people in a hotel suite.)

When you want to stand out at a trade show, hire Dave to be an entertaining anchor for your booth. Whether it is close up magic behind a table or stand up magic on a platform, scheduled shows are a great way to draw crowds while educating booth traffic about your products and services.
