Colleen made our wedding cake and groom's cake for our wedding on 6/9/17 and it was amazing! Her cakes are the best that I have ever tasted. Not only were our cakes delicious, but she made my wedding cake dreams come true with a gorgeous design that was exactly what I wanted. Colleen is fabulous, friendly, and simply fantastic. I could find other superlatives to use, but I like the theme. I was a bride planning a wedding in grad school and it was a lot for me. I saw pictures of cakes that were very elaborate and over the top, and I didn’t want a lot of things going on with the cake. Our wedding venue planner told us about Colleen, and we decided to check her out. We went to one lady before and I was appalled by the lack of customer service and enthusiasm. You won’t have to worry about that with Colleen because she truly loves and is passionate about her craft.

We arrived at Colleen’s house and she had everything ready for our cake tasting. I can’t even remember how many flavors we were able to taste, but I am pretty sure we tasted every single one since there were many cupcakes in front of us. Colleen puts the filling inside the cupcake so you can get the full effect during the tasting. Colleen took down notes, got to know us, and even sent us home with leftovers. We walked out of her house and knew immediately that Colleen was the lady for us.

Colleen and I chatted during the rest of the year and up until the wedding to make sure that everything was good to go. However, on the day of the wedding I gave the cake topper to my venue coordinator and didn’t even see Colleen! I walked into the reception and was immediately drawn to the cake. THE CAKE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! It was exactly what I envisioned and hoped it would be. Simple, elegant, classy, chic. I absolutely loved it and everyone couldn’t stop raving about how great the cake was.

Colleen was awesome to work with! Out of all of the bakeries we met with, Colleen provided the best customer service. She had about 12-15 cupcakes for us to try and sent us home with the leftovers! Our daughter had a Marvel Comic themed wedding. Colleen was able to decorate her cake exactly as she envisioned with marvel comic ribbon and marvel comic flowers and she was able to take the scene from "Deadpool" character wedding and put on the grooms cake. We had 4 layers (ginger pear, strawberry creme, red velvet and key lime cake) for the wedding cake and chocolate, chocolate chip for the grooms cake for 150 guest. Yummy, delicious, and decadent cake is an understatement. We actually dropped our check the day of the tasting because not only was the cake great, she also fell well within our price range. She came highly recommended to us by our florist and personal friendand boy are we thankful. She loves baking cakes and you can see she it in the way she presents the flavors which are not your normal vanilla and chocolate cake. We had amaretto (my fave), key lime, and turtle (crowd fave) just to name a few. We picked 7 flavors! Did I mention that some flavors had fresh fruit or mousse inside !! AND THE BEST PART, she had cupcakes of all the flavors waiting for us after the wedding because we got ONE bite that day. She warned me of this but I was in denial lol.
The cakes were beautiful. I showed her what I like and she designed it beautifully.

Update to the review below---My husband I and LOVED our wedding cakes. It was absolutely perfect. Our guests went nuts for it. The cakes were also beautiful and exactly what we had asked for. I wish we'd ordered more so I would have had more left over! We will definitely be using Colleen again for other major events in our lives! Original review: My fiancé and I tried a lot, and I mean A LOT of cakes when trying to select the perfect wedding cake for our upcoming wedding. (I love cake.) Colleen is the BEST. Save yourself the time and send her an email before trying the rest of those bakeries :). She has been incredibly flexible in working with me and her cakes speak for themselves. Many of the other vendors I had tried didn't seem to really understand my vision or tried to convince me that I wanted something that I knew that I did not. To make things even better, she's reasonably priced and has a FANTASTIC personality. My daughter wanted a 5 tier metallic gold wedding cake with each tier a different flavor of cake. We had the best time sampling cakes at Colleen's house & had a hard time selecting only 5 because all of her flavors were to so so good! !!! Loved working with Colleen, and the cakes tasted amazing! We met with Colleen in Keller, which is quite a drive from Dallas during traffic, but it was so nice that she let us try so many different flavors, and they were all so unique! The hardest thing was to choose just three flavors for our 3 tier cake. I ended up getting an extra 9" cake so that I could get the blackberry lemon flavor (tastes like blackberry cobbler!). I had about 10 people tell me afterwards that they ate 3 pieces of cake just so they could have all of the flavors! Delicious! Definitely one of my favorite vendors! More...

OMG!! My wedding cakes were soooo goood that people repeated, and there was nothing, absolutely nothing left:-)!! I used to think that wedding cakes were the worse part of a wedding, found them always, dry, plain, bland and blah. .. Then I tried Colleen cakes. These are by far the best wedding cake I have ever had!! I went to different places for tasting, and they usually give you 4 different flavors to try. When I went to Colleen's she received us with somewhere between 16-20 cake flavors!!! They were all excellent, fresh, with fresh ingredients, just delicious!!! We had really hard time to choose our flavors, because it was a little too much to have a 20 tiers cake;-). Let me say this, I don't like chocolate at all, and this baker somehow made chocolate cakes for the tasting that I truly enjoyed. In addition to that, all the other bakers gave me hard time regarding the design and colors I chose for my cake (tiffany blue and red), saying that the red would bleed on the blue. Colleen was the only one that reassured me my design was doable, and that I had nothing to worry about my red bleeding. Anyways, after we chose her, the thing I was looking forward the most, on my wedding (other than saying I do) was the cake. And my big day came, my cake design was exactly as I requested, and the red stayed exactly where it was supposed to be. And just when I thought that it couldn't be any better, we cut the cake and it tasted even better than I remembered. All flavors were magnificent. Colleen was amazing! For our tasting, she made us a huge assortment of cupcakes to taste, and the hardest part was deciding which ones we would use, because they were all so good! Colleen makes you feel so comfortable and we really enjoyed our experience with her. We tried some other cake places, but upon meeting Colleen, we made the decision right then to go with her. I didn't get to see Colleen deliver the cakes to the wedding, but when I went into the reception hall- there they were- completely gorgeous with so much attention to detail! And she even had a Darth Vader mask made entirely of chocolate for the groom's cake. Everyone raved about how delicious the cake was, and my only disappointment is that we (the bride & groom!) didn't get enough! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! Our cakes are still being talked about 2 weeks after the wedding! We even got Colleen to make us cupcakes for our rehearsal dinner. My husband and I had a very short engagement (less than 3 months) I had completely forgot about the cake until about a month before. She had no problem getting us in and helping out in that part.

I had tried this cake at my friends wedding and it was amazing so I made an appointment. The tasting went well she is super sweet and has great customer service. I loved that she will allow you to have each tier a different cake flavor (a bonus because we did not want a grooms cake). Howerever, at my wedding I felt like there was so much icing. The cake was amazing but there was more icing then cake. I do not remeber this happening at my friends wedding but I may of not been paying attention. Everyone said it was amazing though.

Another bonus about her is she makes you a top tier seperately so you are able to eat it while you are on your honeymoon or when you return. This was amazing. Perfect amout of icing making me wonder if my cake was a oooppppsss ( which you have to understand do happen)

The prices are amazing as well!!! And I loved the design. I actually was very shakey on what I wanted so I brought a few pictures and she was able to help me. She knows brides and are able to get what you want out of you. She is amazing and so is her cakes. More...

Let me start this by saying that I am a true cake fanatic and when I tasted Colleen's cakes, I wanted to do a back flip! !! Me and my wedding planner left with a box of cupcakes to taste later, as we couldn't decide on just a few flavors....THEY WERE ALL SO GOOD!!!!!!!!! My wedding was almost a month ago and I am STILL getting inquires about where did we get our wedding and groom's cakes from! People went back for three and four slices, we did not have any left other than what Colleen makes sure to give you to have later. I have used her for a number of things across the past couple of years.
I live in Arlington and drive to Keller to pick stuff up from her because she's the best! I have never ever tasted a better cake! I don't know how she does it. Most wedding cakes are dry.
