The San Marcos location will want you to accommodate their unexpected schedules and “trial” time to find the right tutor. They still get compensated regardless . They will not accommodate you. Will drop your student with no warning. Oh, her husband will gossip about your student and your home life at his work (small world). I never met the man. Obviously, my family was the topic over their dinner table. Stereo typing “single” moms, making me sound irresponsible for running 15 min late, as they too had been. I’m married by the way, I believe my martial status is none of their business. Never did I cancel a session when we were running behind, although their tutors had been late before. I’ve been totally involved with my daughters education. They are unprofessional. When she terminated our sessions she was not direct and made it sound like our tutor was the one who terminated the sessions. Didn’t even give a warning. Bottom line, they are Not in it for the long term success of your child. They conveniently terminated on last week of school to prepare for the busy summer with students with much more sessions than we committed to. They had no regard or concern for my daughter. More...

Pandemic times and online tutoring was just not enough for our then Junior and now Senior. He needed help with Math, and was feeling the isolation of online learning. Although the expense was high for the tutor, it was worth it. Our son was able to catch up in math, and now enjoys it. The tutor was amazing and connected with him in way that he could understand. This also proved a valuable lesson to our child to always ask for help, and there is no shame in it. Just last week our son was accepted into the Arizona State University’s Aerospace Engineering program with a partial scholarship! Paid a registration fee well over 4 weeks ago, was told a tutor would be found for my child. I gave the person I spoke to a time frame that would works for us and was told someone would be found. 2 and a half weeks later, a lady called me after 6 pm, told me she had a possible match for my son with a time frame which would only work for 30 minutes. I was driving and unable to talk so i asked if i could call back. I called back, left a message and have yet to ever hear back from anyone. What inspired you to start your own business?
Prior to business ownership, I was a classroom teacher in the Houston area for more than 10 years. During my service as a professional educator, I had the wonderful opportunity to work with amazing instructional specialists and academic counselors who were passionate about education. Their influence inspired me to approach classroom instruction with the kind of energy that demonstrated to students each and every day that we always want to do what’s best for kids.
