CJ Long took pictures for my graduation as a birthday and graduation gift. They were freaking awesome!! They made me look like a whole other person with his effort into editing the photos and the confident poses that he instructed me on. I would 10/10 recommend him.

Q&As

A photograph is more than a picture--it's a moment in time composed within a finite rectangle that captures limitless beauty, emotion, and balance. It's a song, a painting, a poem, all wrapped into one. A good photographer can hear the song of the moment, compose the next line of the poem, and paint the rhythms of the moment with but a click of the shutter.

Obviously, first what type of service you're looking for--portraits, wedding, boudoir, etc. Then I like to know what triggered them to hire a professional photographer. There's an objective, something the client trusts only to a professional, and it's deeper than just snapping photos. My real job is to find and satisfy that need, not take pictures.

Whether it's weddings, portraits, fitness, graduation, boudoir--people reach out to me when they have reason to celebrate, and want to capture that joyful moment. I love to be part of the happiness we encounter in life, and I especially love showing others that I can help capture that joy to be experienced and shared for years to come.

I've spent a career working for others, helping shapeless corporations get bigger, where they rarely even recognize that the most important part of business is the individual, one at a time, that uses its service. Starting my own business achieves my personal journey to work directly for the most important boss in my career--you.

Photography is art--but it's commissioned art. You are commissioning me to provide a service, and that requires bringing a careful balance of artistic expression and professional precision to produce some outcome. I do all my own post-production...light and color correction, blemish removal, cropping and compositing. Being responsible for the end-to-end production guarantees I'm capturing the art in the moment exactly as I intended it. Finally, my wife and I are a team, associates, and best friends. We work together to not just take great photos, but to enrich those moments with a photography experience you'll remember, and images to last a lifetime.

Services

Who says portraits have to be dull and boring! Portraits capture who we are both on the inside and out.

We’re all on different journeys through life. Every achievement is a step towards a greater destination, and chronicling those moments remind us of both the challenges we’ve faced and the trials we’ve overcome.

Senior photos are more than just yearbook fodder and trading cards. Graduation marks one of the biggest transitions in life, a turning point in independence and a shepherding to new beginnings.

One of the most challenging and life-changing experiences for both photographer and client, boudoir lifts the beauty deep within us and captures that unique, intimate moment.

Capturing this special day includes more than just a ceremony--it's the people, the venue, the atmosphere.
It's the joy, feelings, excitement, nerves. It's getting ready, that first step, the intimate kiss and the party thereafter. Weddings are so much more than most photographers capture. Let us show you!
