Chive Events

Chive catered, designed and organized our wedding this summer at the Lyman Estate. To say they did a great job would be an understatement.

My husband and I are foodies at heart and we were so happy to find a place that asked us questions about the food we liked and really got to know our taste. They created an unbelievable menu around this conversation.

We were planning from afar, and Chive was able to help us with all the little details. They were even able to refer us to musicians. It was so easy to work with them and their friendly approach was wonderful.

The whole look and feel of our big day came together beautifully. People really were chatting about everything; the food, the drinks, the design and the service. We really love how the Chive servers "blended" into the day; rather than the formality of servers, they were friendly and approachable and felt like they fit right into the reception.

We ordered our first pick-up meal this week, Spring Paella with Pea Shoots and Chorizo, and it was phenomenal!

Chive Sustainable Events is the best! I cannot say enough about their professionalism, their attention to detail, their creativity, their personal grace and caring and so many more things! Our wedding was beautiful. The design elements were flawless, the food was amazing, the decor was exactly what I wanted, the flowers were ethereal and garden-ey and just amazing, the design elements from their own collection were all perfect. And though I've already said it, as a restaurant management vet I feel it's worth mentioning more than once, their attention to detail and grace under pressure is unparalleled. Nothing slips through the cracks with these ladies. The extended Chive staff is lovely as well, which makes sense since they have such wonderful bosses. And did I mention how creative they are They built us a dream catcher chuppa!! They are incredible.

Jen is so accommodating, so lovely, so kind and patient, so aware of what is going on on a micro and macro level and a really wonderful sounding board and listener. Chive was so wiling to work with me and the rest of my team of peeps to make our day exceptional. Lindsey's food is so amazing. Her ideas are creative and approachable, delicious and of course super sustainable, which was really important to us. Our guests still rave about the food at our wedding, and I don't see that dying down anytime soon. Lindsey really worked with us to pick the best foods and to figure out the best way of serving the food. The presentation of everything was really stunning. Chive made our day beautiful and delicious, totally us and truly perfect. We are so thankful for the ladies at Chive and feel so lucky to have had them with us on our favorite day. More...

Chive was absolutely fabulous. The environment they created for our wedding was exactly what we wanted, along with great food. They were super super organized, and helped out at every stage. No need to hire a wedding planner when working with Chive. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Chive catered my son's wedding in June. Our celebration was flawless!!! Jennifer orchestrated a fabulous meal at our 5PM outdoor wedding. Fresh flowers, delicious food, great wine, attractive settings, friendly wait staff circulating tasty platters during the reception. The array of cakes for all tastes topped it off. My company hired CHIVE for an all-day event last week and I can not say enough about how happy I was with everything. I can't remember the last time I tasted food and said to myself "wow, this is delicious! ", but with CHIVE's food, I did. Not only was the food amazing, but the presentation was beautiful, and the service wonderful. The menu was just perfect, as well. The attendees at the event were all commenting on how much they loved the food and presentation, and how it added to the value of the event. My daughter wanted a tented wedding reception on a beautiful property on Cape Cod overlooking the bay this June. The property owners were the first to recommend Chive for the event. They had had a previous wonderful experience with Chive and loved not only the beautiful event they arranged, but also how careful and respectful of their property they were. We absolutely loved working with Lindsey and Jen right from the start. My daughter and her fiance met with them and they immediately understood what they wanted the event to look and feel like...and best of all the end result exceeded our expectations ..because they added fun things (like an outdoor bar lounge seating area!) that enhanced the whole experience. Jen was attentive to every detail..like the flowers, sunset colored peonies with succulent accents that were simply amazing! And still, she was ultimately flexible to allow us to have some special things we wanted to bring in, and catering to my husband's somewhat quirky food preferences! Speaking of food..it was spectacular..from the passed hor d'oeuvres through the scrumptious cakes (my daughter did not want a wedding cake, but a variety of cakes) everything was local/seasonal and delicious! Finally, I have to commend Jen on her day of event presence. She had her eye on everything and stepped in to make sure everyone had a great time..several of our guests thought she was part of our family...because that's how she acted.. Chive truly goes above and beyond with customer service, event design, and menu planning. They did my dear friend's wedding and I fell in love with their aesthetic and integrity as a sustainable company. When I got engaged, I knew they were the only team I would trust with my wedding, as I am a professional event planner and total gourmand. Jen and Lindsey are so friendly, buttoned up logistically, and have absolutely gorgeous taste, all with an eco-friendly perspective, sourcing from the best local vendors and farms. I feel blessed to be working with women who have become trusted friends for the most important day of my life. They are going to make our wedding such a beautiful, delicious, and fun day. I worked with Chive for my wedding in Newburyport, MA. Having never planned anything this significant before I didn't know what to expect out of the process but the moment I talked with Chive I felt at ease. They designed a delicious and unique menu for the wedding (guests are still raving about the food), the designs for the entire event were flawless, they incorporated all of my wishes and their wonderful suggestions along the way and the event leader and staff the day of were incredible to ensure that everything went off without a hitch. The best part was that they made my husband and I feel completely at ease without a concern in the world during the wedding day. To us, that meant everything. I am not going to lie, as a foodie and good cook when I don't want to be in my own kitchen because I don't feel like cooking and I don't really want to go to a restaurant I can wander over on Monday and Thursday and get the most fantastic take away ever.
