I called and hung up to make sure my wife hadn't called first and as soon as i was done talking with her Chitown called me back and confirmed with me the price for replacing my lost car key with fob was as advertised. He's the best came in 10 minutes got it done in 5 mins put him at the top of the list. All the rest of the locksmith s ain't on nothing compared to my guy. Great service. My boyfriend accidentally locked his keys in the car with the key still in the ignition. We knew we needed someone right away. Called one other place, who weren’t much help at all. So we tried Chitown Locks and Keys. J.R. answered right away and showed up 5 mins. later. My husband lost our key last night, our one and only key. I made several calls to different locksmiths & I had a few who asked me if I was sure on the type of key I needed. Some who were trying to charge me $350 & more plus a $100 to come & open the vehicle. (Mind you I have a Kia NOT a luxury vehicle) That’s that I even offered to just pick it up to save that additional $100. I called my dealer & finance company in hope that they got a spare & nothing. I locked myself out of my car two times today. That's right, twice in one day. The first time I called a different company and it cost me $120. The second time I called Chitown, and JR only charged me $80. That made my mistake(s) sting a little bit less. He was also super nice and sympathetic and didn't make me feel stupid, which was very nice of him. He even offered to make me a spare key at a very reasonable price - an offer I am definitely going to take him up on since I apparently now have a compulsive locking myself out of habit. So. It was a Saturday evening and I had keys I needed duplicates of. I started searching for places near me and the results returned where to get keys made 24 hours a day. I figured it was clickbait just for locksmith/lockouts. I called the number and got no answer but I did get a call back from JR. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only could I get the keys made, due to my close proximity to his office, JR was able to come to me. He was very reasonably priced and I'd definitely recommend him to others. All of the keys worked when I got home. Saved me an errand.
