Why this place isn't called "Long Island's #1 Empanadas" (or some variation thereof) is beyond me. I don't understand the play on words in the name (I mean, I get it. . but why tho?).. especially when their selling point is definitely their empanadas - which are effin' awesome. There's a variety of different empanadas to choose from (18 in total); sweet and savory varieties. They are pretty big and are all priced pretty fairly (between $3-6). Also, they're on doordash.Stamp of approval. Try the guava & cheese empanada if you're a fan of the sweet/salty combo - it's worth it.  Apparently this is a fairly common flavor combo for breakfast in Latin American countries. In any event, this is now our go-to for empanadas and maduros (sweet plantain). Shell out the extra $1 for their green house sauce (a cilantro based ranch-type sauce). More...

Although we had been ordering from this place for many years and enjoyed the food, we had a horrible experience with them that they did nothing to make up for. On a Friday night, we had company over and I ordered over $100 worth of food. They told me the food would take about an hour which was fine.-After 1.5 hrs, no food, I called and was told it was out for delivery. -After 2 hours, no food, I called and was told they had no record of the order. They then changed that to I had just ordered it an hour ago so it wasn't late.-Finally delivered after almost 3 hours and all the food was cold and stale as if it had been sitting around for 2 hour2.They offered me no discount or compensation and all I got was a half-assed apology and excuse because "they were so busy" More...

First time order . Chicken ok .no real difference to anywhere else but more expensive. Pernil ate 1 pc. Not for me , nothing special ,my daughter liked it though . yellow sweet plantains, outstanding..best I've ever had , corn patties, flat.boring, tasteless, they described over the phone as corn fritters..not ..no actual corn bits in them. apple pineapple empanadas ...fabulous ...these & the plantains are why I,d try a few more things there but mostly the empanadas . Excellent crust . More...

My friends and I ordered dinner from here yesterday. The food was amazing! This is our second time ordering together. We had the green chicken burrito- very filling and can serve two people. My other friend had the Pernil, had some mashed potatoes , chicken and beef empanadas, pumpkin soup which my mom loved!! She barely eats out and loved this soup. Arepitas were soft and warm corn cakes which was a nice starter for everyone. Definitely eating here again! Thank you! More...

Went in to buy dinner for my family and wasn't acknowledged at all, out of the two teenage boys working no one asked if I wanted to order or if I was picking up or anything, I just stood there as they bantered back and forth about being annoyed by other customers requests that they didn't feel like fulfilling. After standing there and making eye contact multiple times without being assisted, I walked out. I have never experienced such rudeness by restaurant staff, especially during a time when most restaurants are struggling for business. I will not be returning nor will I recommend anyone else make the effort just to be disrespected. More...

Always friendly staff and love their sancocho soup. Empeñadas are great and green sauce is on point. Chicken is moist and flavorful. Recommend for family and friends who desire a Latin flavor. More...

This used to be a favorite spot for us. We always get the pulled pork with rice and beans and plantains. Today the pork was extremely salty to the point where it was not edible. Wasted $30 on two entrees of basically rice and plantains. So disappointed. More...

I ordered the whole chicken2 large sides( rice and beans  together) and salad. I ordered this thinking I was gonna get rice with beans on the side. Instead I got a half filled container of dry rice with about 10 black beans scattered on top.... I called grubhub to complain and the restaurant told them  this is how it comes... my mind was blown. They considered their salad a large side, it was all lettuce and few tomatoes and for this I payed $30... this was such a disappointment... never ordering again More...

Just ordered food there for the first time.  Will never go back.  Menu said avocado 1.75 they charged me 3.50.  While reducing over the phone the gentleman asked me if i would like sauce for the empanadas, I say yes mild.  I thought the bill was higher then the printed prices but i didn't say anything.  When i got home I called them and not only did they overcharge me on the avocado they charged me 4.00 for four sauces.  I dint request 4, why not throw 10 in the bag and charge me ten dollars.  Don't offer something that you are going to charge for without saying so.  Overcharging your customers is a good way to go out of business.  This was my first time, a 67.00, they will never see me again.
