From the very first contact until current day, Chesapeake Grille & Deli has been such a joy to work with for our wedding. Mark took the time to meet with us, and not only listened to what we wanted, but also gave expert advice when we needed guidance . We were able to taste test different options we were looking into which helped to choose our wedding menu – although it was tough since they make everything so delicious! On our wedding day, the cooks & servers made everything so seamless and wonderful. We had a buffet line with 150 guests and it was the quickest I have ever seen a buffet line move! We were so happy with them and we are still getting compliments about our wedding food. They even helped set up our dessert table for us and it was beautifully done! I always say you get what you pay for. This place is the best! I'm not one to try new things but I'm always ordering new types of food here! Food is always very good. Staff is nice and place is always clean. Only complaint is they have a new menu and new pricing, which went up on what looks like $2 or more on some items. $8.99 for a basic cheeseburger is a little high for me. Most burgers or sandwiches start at $8.99. I live and work in Dunkirk but cant afford those prices for lunch everyday. But, I DO understand business and since its a seat yourself place we cant tip the staff so I just hope they pay the staff well. Great place to eat though. More...

I have to give a shout out to Chesapeake Grille in Dunkirk. First of all, I am in love with their chicken caprese salad! ! And second, I have to say how impressed I was with the take out meal. Usually when I get a salad or anything else for that matter as a take out meal anywhere else, it never seems to come as it would if I ate in and I am always disappointed. Well not in this case.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got home and saw that it was exactly as I have ordered it in the restaurant! In fact I was even more impressed that they put the chicken as well as the pita bread that comes with it in separate containers, loved that!!

Great place with amazing food, beer, wine and liquor selections. Very helpful staff and a friendly, family business atmosphere. Live music on the weekends through the summer, too! A perfect place to start and finish a bike ride or just for a quick lunch or dinner. The sunsets are amazing here and easily viewed from their outside dining are. A great place to catch up with the locals. I make many trips with my kids who enjoy the hand dipped ice cream and watching the setting sun. Always great food great service. A few years back the wife and I were installing hardwood floors we lost track of time and called in a order at the Dunkirk store they were going to be closing before we could get there but they made our order and we got there after they closed but still made our order and waited for us to pick it up. That's is above and beyond best customer service I have ever received from any restaurant. So we tell everyone about the great food and great service. I absolutely loved the crunchy crab burger. It was very delicious! The kitchen messed up our order because we also ordered a crab cake sammy and it took them longer to make but the cashier was apologetic and offered a free dessert on the spot for the inconvenience. I haven't ever received a bad meal or horrible service from Chesapeake Market & Deli. You are greeted upon entering with a smile which isn't the case for many establishments nowadays. I highly recommend the following dishes depending on your tastes: MD Cream of Crab soup (a must, and if you aren't hungry just yet, get some to go!), Old Bay Chicken & Shrimp Pasta, Apple Bleu Spinach Salad (add some chicken or shrimp!), Portabello Mushroom Melt, and if you are feeling fancy, try a special! This is a great destination after a ride on the bike; the food is very good and reasonably priced. My Bride and I come here to the Rosehaven location often. The mark of a good restaurant to me is consistency; everyone has an off day once in a while but they consistently hits the mark for us. One of the things I noticed this past Saturday (after thanksgiving) all the employees seem to be continuously moving; no standing around waiting for Mark to tell them to do something and they are always polite and respectful.
