I have to live on a gluten free/dairy free diet, and sometimes it’s so hard to find places to eat especially when you’re traveling and not aware of what’s around! I found this little cafe on my “Find Me Gf” app! We visited here to kick start our vacation, and I’m so glad we did. We enjoyed our treats and delicious açaí bowls! If you thought, healthy, low-fat, gluten-free food must taste bland and boring, think again! I was blown away by the tasty and plentiful menu options at Chef Brookes Natural Café. What’s unique about this hidden gem is its home-cooked flavors that truly satiate the senses without making one feel guilty afterwards. The chef uses ingredients from all over the world, combining them in tasteful combinations to create her own recipes. My favorites are the daily specials including seasonal dishes, such as the sumptuous mung daal soup with coconut, stuffed squash, or pumpkin soup. The Kimchi wraps and Nori rolls are delicious. Pizza lovers won’t be disappointed either. The gluten-free desserts are freshly baked and scrumptious. I have finally found the only American restaurant which understands the health benefit of no ice in my drinks!! Thank you. The portions are substantial. The ambiance has a hippy, down to earth, mellow vibe. Chef Brookes is accommodating with custom orders and never rushes anyone out even if they linger past closing time... which happens frequently... the food and atmosphere is so comforting, one never wants to leave. Absolutely delicious food. Our toddler literally cried when it was all gone. Brooke is very nice and accommodating - kept the restaurant open 30 minutes past closed for us so we could eat together as a family. I'm sad that we live over the bridge from this amazing place but we will be back! More...

First off, after reading reviews of this place I’d like to say I think people are nit picking. Chef Brooke is so kind and an amazing cook. Highly misunderstood imo. From what I see the place is ran by three people, it’s a cafe not fast food and first come first serve. Every time I go I leave in a better mood than I was when I came. I ordered the salmon melt and it was absolutely delicious! Make sure to snag a serving of the homemade hot sauce, it is pretty bomb. All of the bakery items looked so delicious I couldn't resist leaving without one. I opted to try the sweet potato pie. It looks like a decadent fluffy potato oreo. It definitely did not disappoint. Loved the food, love the vibe! They are very vegan-friendly and have a lot of options for plant-based food lovers. I had the tempeh reuben and my wife had the nori salad. Both of which were amazing. And a cashew sweet potato muffin for a reverse-desert appetizer. ::drool:: The decor inside and behind the counter makes it feel like you're eating in the chef's home. Very cozy!
