Had dinner here last night with my wife and mom. Food was great. I went home stuffed. Wife and mom had leftovers. Crab cakes and crab dip appetizers. Whomever cooked yesterday at 1pm please dont change a thing about the Ribeye. I swear it was the best Ribeye ive ever eaten. Also the mash potatoes & grvy were just as great.. My first time eating here. The food is best described as love on a plate. The crab cake appetizer with crawfish creme sauce is an absolute delight. I followed that with fried catfish which was fried perfectly with a moist center. The onion rings were unreal. Not a trace of grease on the underlined paper. The side items were flavorful. Ham/bacon smoked green beans being my favorite. And when we were finished eating, which I ate everything, we felt full and satisfied. Not disgusting and overindulged as is the case with many resturants serving fried food. Charlie's is in my opinion, serving the best food in St. Bernard Parish. While I wish it wasn't such a hike from my house, it's well worth the extra drive. As a side note, the service was sweet, courteous, and well accommodating. Thank you. More...

Hands down one of the best spots for delicious seafood and home cooking. Service is always friendly and efficient. Favorites dishes are the crab claws, gumbo, French bread pizza, chicken Florentine pasta and any of the steaks or seafood entrees. Mom's Pot Roast with the rice and gravy reminds me of my own mother's. It's that good!! They serve awesome food for breakfast as well! More...

Great food and ambience, me and my wife and one of my son's ordered seafood boats , and my younger son ordered fried chicken tender PO boy , I enjoyed the seafood boat, our waitress was really busy cause she was helping a new waitress but she was great, this was our first visit and definitely won't be the last����

I've been eating at Charlie's as long as I can remember. I went with my family Friday night and got the fried softshell crab on bun. It was delicious, as always.
