Winston has gone to CPPS for a few months now, and we really appreciate the time and care they take with him. Winston walks up to the door when we go there and is not afraid to stay.  They listen to our requests for certain style preferences we have and keep notes on prior visits to refer to what has been done in the past. This is not the least expensive grooming option in our neighborhood, however the most worth it!  This last visit was during the week (the Spa us much busier on the weekends) so Winston being a 20 lb poodle mix was in and out in 1.5 hrs. My first time going today, was recommended by a friend. It was WONDERFUL! My dog had a horrible experience at a previous groomer and they let me stay with her the entire time for both of our anxieties. Red was very happy, and the girls did a fantastic job with her. I brought my vizsla puppy here for a bath and teeth cleaning. I was very happy with the results. He came home very soft and smelled nice. The place is clean and the staff are extremely friendly and experienced. Although this location is new, they have another location outside of Manhattan. The groomers have 25+ years of experience. Reda is a very responsible and attentive groomer and owner of this Spa. He is a professional at his work and is very knowledgeable about all breeds of dogs. He has that special touch which is not easy to find with most groomers. I can't say enough good things about him, my Stella (mini schnauzer) runs to the entry of the door whenever we walk by and she never did that with the other groomers. Reda Elabd was so kind, loving and patience with my baby whom I have adopted 4 months ago.  She is always so freighted when I leave her.  Reda was so sweet and gentle with my Prancey!  Reda made her look more than beautiful. Even the way he trimmed her nails, you can see he did it with love.  Her nails were not broken or jagged   It is like she had a manicure.  I asked him to clean her ears and again he did this more than wonderful job with her ears.  I am in love with Reda.  I love the fact that he does not over book, like they do at other grooming Places.   I have found a fantastic groomer who will love and take care of my baby the way I do.  I would whole heartedly recommend Reda/Central Park Pet Spa.  I have been to many groomers in Astoria and we have now found a home with a groomer that I absolutely love. I used to bring my mainecoon cat here when it was on 57th. Same woman who does the grooming that I absolutely love. I’ve brought my cat to a couple other groomers while this location was relocating and nothing compared to the work she does! Highly recommend.

I have taken my shih tzu to Central Park Pet Spa in Manhattan for grooming and day care services for 7+ years.  Reda and Judy are THE BEST.  During the brief period they only had a location in Queens, I couldn't use their services, and none of the groomers I used in their stead could compare (favorably).  Reda is the MASTER.  He is technically superior and his "bedside manner" with the animals is incredible.  Judy, who assists with grooming, and is the face you see when you enter the spa, is an angel - truly one of the kindest, and most caring and capable people you could ever know.  So grateful for them! This is the only place I let my pom Morty get cut! From the 1st appointment they handled him firm enough so he could drop his napoleon complex but gentle enough for me to not be alarmed- this was the only person who was able to handle him on the 1st try. This was our first time having our dog groomed so we don't have much experience. But after walking in here out of curiosity, we were convinced by Reda explaining to us that grooming wasn't just aesthetic, it would help with shedding, with our dog being itchy all the time and protect her skin better.

He had us stay for the first session to make sure that our dog was comfortable & it was incredible to watch the process. "Spa" is the correct word, this is much more than a haircut. Rosy was shampooed twice, very thoroughly, the second time with a shampoo he selected after determining what health her skin was. He had special soap for her face & for her paws (the 'facial' & 'manicure') and was firm yet loving with her.

She looks like a new dog (and that's without ANY cutting, just the bath), she has never been so shiny & for the first time, when you pet her, your hand isn't covered in her hair.

We will most definitely be making this a regular event. Well worth it. Not just to save us time giving her a bath ourselves, but because her skin & coat are going to be a lot healthier with it (plus we'll have less dog hair to clean up in the house...) More...

I have tried so many places before I was recommended by my brother in law to come to this spot. By far the best groomer I ever went to. .. my dog usually comes back sad and traumatized but he was very calm and happy after coming to central park pet spa. I asked for a light trip and blow dry for my sisters wedding and that is exactly what was done. You can't find this type of quality just anywhere. I can't wait to come again !! More...

Anyone that meet me knows how picky i'm with my Duke. If i am telling you after 15 years that I have him of courses been already in few groomers places that this place is unique you need to believe it   professionalism, patient (specially w me ), lovely, cleanest, warm place. Please get over there if you need to give some cleanest to your baby pet. We were wandering around Astoria pet groomers requesting a quotes and just looking around where we felt our baby will be in good hands and the minute we walked into Central Park Pet Spa we were sold! Reda, the master groomer and I believe the owner made all the difference for us. The attention and time he took to explain everything to us it's like no other place around. He was super nice enough to accommodate our Lucas right the next day and I was a little nervous but when I got home and saw my baby I couldn't stop yelling in excitement how beautiful my puppy was. I went here on Thursday because of my boy's terrible ear, facial and paw allergies were getting beyond out of control, despite meds. Reda took so much time and care for him, addressed each issue, and really helped him. You can tell he is gifted with animals, my dog HATES baths or even getting wet. He also cut his nails without Mini even moving. I've never taken my boy to a groomer before, he's a Frenchie, they're short haired and don't really need it, but I can't imagine another groomer even comparing to this place. Thanks! More...

This is hands down the only place I will ever take my dog. He's a four year old Pom and he's a total diva. The WORST dog to groom but I love him and the only place to ever groom him with no problems and get amazing results is Central Park pet spa. I have personally known Reda Elabd for many years with Central Park Pet Spa. Reda truly knows how to run a business and truly compassionate with animals. His work is stellar and delivers outstanding customer service. Astoria will be so pleased to know they now have a world class pet groomer in their neighborhood! The best part is my dog Buster was the first dog groomed at this location! I strongly encourage anyone with a pet to use Central Park Pet Spa. - And just a side note - its sad that this person with a fictions name Liz/Lia whatever it is- left such negative feedback to hurt Reda and CPPS. The truth is for people to know is this is nothing more than an immature disgruntled employee who was caught on camera stealing. Needless to say, their employment has been terminated. I brought my dog Woodson to this groomer for the first time 1.5 weeks ago, and it was a great experience from beginning to end.  The owner, Reda, was very knowledgeable and thorough in his explanation of what he was going to do, and how he was going to help the extreme shedding my jindo/mix breed was experiencing.  Upon picking him up, he was not shedding AT ALL and it remained that way for a while.  I will have to bring him in for a follow up and see how the the continued treatment will help him, because as he explained, it will not work immediately and only after 1 trip to the groomers.Overall, a very good experience.  Slightly pricier than others around the neighborhood, but it's well worth it if my visits continue to go well and my dog stops his shedding.  Thank you Reda! Stopped in for info about services/prices. (I) did not think it was time for my dog to be groomed. After Reda, the owner and Master Certified Groomer, gave me a consult, I wound up leaving my doggie for a grooming. Magically, (as promised), my incessantly shedding shepherd/collie mix has not shed a hair in 4 days!  Reda called me a couple of days after her impromptu appt. to follow-up. Excellent client service. He is a little more expensive but it is like getting a hair cut at Frederic Fekkai as opposed to Quick Cuts. And hat is not a truly apt analogy as it is more than a cosmetic benefit. Reda knows about each dog breed, how to best care for their coat/skin and get them ready for the upcoming seasons. Other shops  are doggie daycares, vet offices etc. that hire groomers. Reda is a specialist and all he does is grooming. Paws down the best grooming experience my 8yr old has had. She has found her fur-ever groomer!  Thanks Reda. Welcome to Astoria. Update-  just brought my pup back for her second visit. She looks & feels great. Reda and his staff are lovely. It has been Over 5 1/2 weeks since her first appt and I have yet to find one hairy tumbleweed. Unbelievable! No more Swiffers Reda delivered as promised.
