After visiting a few venues, it was an easy choice that Cascade was the place for our dream wedding. We fell in love with it! We recently had our 1/5/19 wedding and Rosa and the staff did an amazing job. From the first time we sat down to coordinate a day until the day of our wedding we could not have been more pleased. Rosa really made this experience smooth and easy during a stressful time. She gave great input when needed, kept us laughing, and was very honest. She truly was a pleasure to work with. On September 23rd my husband and I had the most magical ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at Cascades. Rosa, Alexis and the whole team were amazing to work with from the beginning of the planning process until the last dance. Working with Rosa to plan everything from the ceremony, to welcoming guests, cocktail hour and the reception was absolutely amazing. She has wonderful ideas that I never thought of. Their packages are so reasonable and the extras they can provide are by far the best we've encountered and trust me visited a lot of venues on our journey to the alter. From the moment we met Rosa at our first meeting, without starting the tour we both knew this wonderful place was where we would get married. There was so much food and drinks, our guests are still talking about how ours was the best wedding they have every attended. Alexis and her team did an amazing job taking our decorations and making our vision come to life! The staff that waited on us while we were preparing to walk down the isle were magnificent. The two bartenders even noticed I wasn't buttoned up into my dress properly and dropped everything to help my mother fix my dress seconds before I walked down the isle. We also had a snafu with the seating chart and Rosa and team were there to fix it without my knowing until after to avoid stressing me out!!! From the moment we saw the pergola I knew that was where we should have our ceremony. I couldn't have imagined it any better than they prepared it for my day. The beautiful cobblestone walk past the waterfall to the pergola is a photographic dream. I have seen the preview of the photos the photographer took and they are beautiful. One thing my husband has OCD about is cleanliness and this venue went above and beyond his expectations. He could not stop talking about how clean Cascades is both inside and outside compared to some of the other venues we had seen. The entire staff were friendly and attentive and helped our guests have the time of their lives at our wedding. All my husband and I wanted was for our guest to have a great time, and that's exactly what was delivered. From being greeted with a glass of Rose with a raspberry before the ceremony, to being stuffed during cocktail hour, the delicious buffet style dinner, the late night pizza and dessert bar; no one left hungry. If I could give Cascade a million stars, I would. The team here treats you like family and make the wedding planning process so simple. I didn't even hire a wedding planner because I had Rosa :). I work for a nonprofit here in CT and our office is near Cascade so it was only fitting for us to look into their services. I had personally been to events there as a guest but had never worked with their team before. From the moment I met Rosa, I knew she would be a pleasure to work with. Not just Rosa but her whole team. From day one to everyday in between leading up to the event, every single staff member was pleasant and helpful! The venue is beautiful and the food delicious. I celebrated my 60th birthday party at Cascade's with my family and dearest friends thanks to my husband. We were initially going to rent a hall and my family offered to prepare food but I honestly didn't want them to do that. I wanted them to enjoy the party! On a whim, I decided to call Cascade just to inquire and was assisted by Rosa who was very pleasant and helpful. When I shared with my husband he immediately said call back and book it so all I have to do is show up! What a wonderful choice! The service was excellent and the food was great. When my (then, future) husband pulled up to Cascade, we walked into the ballroom and I immediately told him “this will be where we have our wedding”. From the beautiful chandeliers to the gorgeous double staircase, my fairytale wedding dreams were coming true before my eyes. Rosa and her team made sure our wedding day would be the most perfect day, ever. The food was delicious, the service was on-point, and the drinks were flowing all night long for everyone. The Mac and cheese bar and beef Wellington puffs during cocktail hour are a MUST! Delicious. I loved everything about Cascade! From the moment I attended a bridal fair there, I knew it was where I wanted to get married. I had attended a couple of weddings there before and loved the atmosphere & always had a great time. The staff goes above and beyond to make your day perfect! Rosa & Alexa were very attentive, answering any questions I had right away & were very easy to get ahold of if needed! Their attention to detail goes a long way & they are on top of everything. From the day we first walked into Cascade, we knew it would be the perfect venue for us. It is one of the most beautiful venues I have ever seen and has gotten even better with some of the updates that have been made over the past few years. It was the perfect backdrop for all of our wedding photos. The service we received from Rosa and her team throughout the planning process and on our wedding day was amazing. Every question we had was answered very quickly and any request was followed through perfectly. The days leading up to our wedding were as stress free as possible. My husband and I had a long engagement, so we had plenty of time when it came to choosing our reception venue. We easily looked at 20 different places across Connecticut, but the minute that we toured Cascade, we knew it would be the one. The venue is spacious, spotless, and spectacular. The staff is beyond patient and willing to answer any and all questions. They will respond to calls and emails rapidly, and sit for meetings whenever you feel it necessary. Domenic, Rosa, and Alexa guided my family, who had never planned a wedding, through the entire process--from choosing a menu to the seating chart. I knew that, no matter what, the reception would be everything that I dreamed of. I met with Rosa the week of the wedding and trucked in with a ton of props and decorations. She made sure that everything was exactly how I envisioned it--I wouldn't have changed a thing had I been able to set up myself (and as a true control freak, I really wanted to). My guests are still talking about how fantastic the food is (I HIGHLY recommend the mac and cheese station) , how friendly all of the staff was, and how beautiful the venue is. The guests, like Joe and I, loved being the only wedding there, having a separate space for cocktail hour, the gorgeous outdoor patios, the fabulous lobby and bar, the private space for the bridal suites, the huge, cleanly bathrooms, and of course the all wood ballroom floor (complete with chandeliers--just like Beauty and the Beast), which left plenty of room for dancing. Their packaging is so flexible--you are able to pick and choose everything from appetizers to the entrees to the placements of the tables and add-ons (we opted for a late night pizza station). This venue will work with your vision and pricing. We had about 200 people in attendance, and had an abundance of space, while still feeling intimate. We are so happy that we chose to have our ceremony and reception at Cascade! Our guests told us that they had never seen such a beautiful venue, and we definitely agree! The flowers and landscaping, waterfalls and archways all look magical in our photos outside. We had a picture-perfect ceremony at the pergola, surrounded by flowers and the tall trees and hedges that give the ceremony site privacy from the road and the rail trail. Everyone has also commented on how impressive the reception hall looked with its tall ceilings and chandeliers, the grand staircase, large dance floor, and unique oval tables. The food at Cascade was so delicious too! We only heard rave reviews about all of the appetizers and meal choices!
Rosa and Domenic worked with all of our vendors to ensure that everything went without a hitch for our rehearsal and on our wedding day. Throughout the wedding planning process, they were quick to answer questions by email and were helpful when we visited to tour the grounds. When looking for a wedding venue, we toured around 15 venues and Cascade stood out as the most elegant site for both the outdoor ceremony and the reception in the grand ballroom. From the moment I looked at Cascade's website I fell in love with the place! Everything about Cascade is amazing! Our guests raved about the food, the bar, the service from the waitstaff, and the beautiful decor. Our cocktail hour was in the garden room, which is downstairs. Unfortunately, my grandparents and a few other elderly guests could not handle going up or down the stairs so they stayed in the foyer on the main floor. Before my grandparents could even ask if a plate of appetizers could be sent up, the owner had already sent the waitstaff to bring them a tray of their own. Please, if you want to have your absolute dream wedding, have it at Cascade. This venue is absolutely breathtaking, elegant, and modern. The staff is top notch. They are extremely respectful and do everything with a smile. Rosa was amazing to work with, she made everything easy during the stress of the day. I attended Cascade for my first time while visiting a Bridal Show. I knew the minute I walked in, this was where I wanted to get married! From the friendly staff and amazing food to the venue itself, I fell in LOVE!! Out of curiosity, I did look at a few area facilities, but nothing compared. When we finally made the decision to book Cascade, they were very accommodating to my fiance and I. They arranged a time that worked for us and helped create a package that met all of our needs. Every time I had a question, I could call or email and everything was addressed promptly and professionally. The day of our wedding came up so quickly and they worked together to make our wedding day so special. The staff on our wedding day were able to keep us calm and organized throughout the whole day!! Who would have thought we would have our very own Wedding Planner at no extra cost!?!?! The service was amazing and the food was impeccable. Cascade is the perfect venue for a wedding. My husband and I visited more than 10 venues before we chose Cascade, and there was no comparison. For the same prices as everywhere else we visited, the venue and food was 5 star vs a 2 or 3 star in the other venues. We had the entire venue for the duration of our cocktail hour and reception. My mother hosted my bridal shower at Cascade. We were in the South side of the Crystal Ballroom. From the initial planning to the date of the shower, Rosa and Dominick were a pleasure to work with and very professional and responsive. First of all, the room was gorgeous! The chandeliers are dazzling. The food was delicious and the portions were large. There were many wait staff assigned and the service was very prompt. Whenever we asked for an accomodation like switching a guest's place setting or help with a task, the staff was quick to act and always had a nice manner. So many great things to say, where do I begin?!? When I first started planning my wedding, I saw Cascade in a magazine and told myself I was going to have my wedding there, no matter what. Well, after looking at different venues over a couple months, I did it!! And I do not have any regrets whatsoever!!!! The venue itself is so beautiful, my guests were in awe. The scenery for photos alone was amazing, as was our ceremony and reception. The food....oh my goodness, the food was to die for! Everyone had amazing things to say about the food! We had our wedding reception and cocktail hour at Cascade in September 2015. We had a very large wedding (260 people) and the staff at Cascade was great! Rosa and her team made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night, and kept us on schedule! Everyone raved about the food at cocktail hour.. and at dinner for that matter! Even though the groom and I barely got to eat, the staff made sure to leave our dishes at the sweetheart table until we told them it was okay to take it away, it was great knowing they weren't rushing us to eat.

After visiting numerous venues I quickly chose Cascade for the following reasons...

1. The overall décor had a very clean appeal (i. e. hardwood floors throughout the reception space, beautiful chandeliers, beautiful landscaping with plenty of indoor/outdoor space for guest to mingle).

2. The Staff - Rosa, Rosa, Rosa, out of all the venues I visited Rosa made me feel the most comfortable and presented a professional/friendly nature that left a more than positive impression on me. She made me feel like I had nothing to worry about in regards to the venue.

3. The Menu (Top of the Line) - I wanted my guests to have a great meal with great food choices which Cascade truly fulfilled, exceeding expectations. The cocktail hour options were great, the food was great, everything was G-R-E-A-T. My guests left the wedding stuffed!!!

Overall, my entire experience with Cascade was great. Rosa was very attentive throughout the entire process, very transparent & clear with costs, I never felt like she was trying to get over on us or that my bid day was just another wedding. Rosa provided us tips on ways to save and cut corners without lowering the value of the day, which were greatly appreciated!!! This venue was perfect. I was married August 2015 and had my ceremony and reception at Cascade. The inside and outside are absolutely gorgeous. Rosa was extremely helpful from the moment we came to the Open House up until the actual wedding. She was there to answer questions and provide useful suggestions throughout the entire process.
