Its always a pleasure to work with Carmine, he is patient and so knowledgeable about whats necessary to achieve the correct lighting and adjustments for the photo shoot. I had experience working with him on product shots years ago and knew his work was spot on then. More recently, I was in need of a few headshots of myself and knew he would the one for this job. He is an Adjunct Professor teaching photography at Housatonic Community College and has a world of experience with Commercial Photography. He did not disappoint and I ended up with many great shots. His professionalism during the shoot as well as his post production skills provided me with natural looking, high quality images and it was hard to choose the best photos because there were so many good ones! Definitely recommend him for outdoor and indoor photo work. More...

It was a pleasure working with Carmine on my project. Excellent photographer! He did three settings for me.... One outside at the beach (headshot), one in my art studio, and one at his studio (photographing my painting) . Carmine did an exceptional job in all three setting! More...

An excellent photographer. Carmine has years of experience in commercial, modeling, and headshot photography in both NYC and CA. I was pleased to find a photographer of his caliber available in CT when my husband needed corporate portrait/profile photos done quickly this past June (in the middle of the covid crisis). Carmine accommodated us and did a magnificent job. He really listened, and took the time to produce exactly what we needed. Highly recommend. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Coming up through the ranks as a young Photographer, I had the great fortune to work with a sagely Creative Director who told me my contribution; a photo illustration, didn't sell the product but sold what the product did for the consumer ("the product of the product"). A great photograph does that.
After assessing the clients needs, I create a setting to best illustrate the image. With over 35 years of experience I know what works and what may not. Sometimes testing must be done for a particular product or environment to see what works best. Lighting is key to the right impact, to capture the public's attention within the first few seconds a customer see's the image.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
Please provide as much pertinent information as possible in your initial posting. It will help me determine if we are a good fit.
I spend time with my clients before the shoot to determine what the client wants to achieve; be it a business portrait, product photo or real estate brochure. This process puts them as ease and provides me with insight as to their expectations.
What do you love most about your job?
People! Meeting interesting people and becoming part of their support team - helping them succeed by contributing my expertise and experience. Just because you own a paint brush, doesn't make you a VanGogh. It's the nuances that make a snapshot a photograph, a statement, a worthy image.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Independent Photographers are, by nature, entrepreneurs, creative thinkers, passionate and problem solvers. It's creative freedom.
Why should our clients choose you?
I'm impassioned about my work and committed to doing my best on every assignment. I bring years of experience and insights to each project and love being part of a creative effort.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Images and words can be shared online. A consultation before a shoot is essential. Photo restoration and composite work can all be done remotely. We make extensive use of "FaceTime" and "Zoom".
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
In the depths of the Covid-19 virus we were shut down. Prior to vaccine availability we were very careful in cleaning, etc. of our studio and took steps to minimize contact during portrait sessions making use of masks, shields and gloves.
