Sophia is an expert dog trainer. Her knowledge base is extremely broad because of her extensive experience. She employs an approach that exclusively uses positive reinforcement and ignoring bad behavior instead of punishing it. She is also highly rational and easy to to work with, which makes tailoring the training approach to your dog’s specific needs possible. I would recommend her to anyone and would encourage them to get the ten session bundle because it includes a free session. I would only add that some dogs may need more sessions than that if they suffer from extreme anxiety or are wary of humans or other dogs because of mistreatment or prior bad experiences. But she specializes in dogs with anxiety so she would know best how long addressing that issue will take. More...

Sophia is awesome! She has done wonders with our pups so far, and is truly a dog whisperer. We have two Shihpoos (now 1 year old and 2 years old), with Lots of energy. After only 3 visits with Sophia, they know “wait”, “lay”, “off” (off the furniture), and they come to us when we call them. She uses positive reinforcement to train, and it works like a charm. What do you love most about your job?
I love when I get to see a family successfully ask their dog to do something for the very first time. Their eyes light up and you can also see how excited the pup gets for making them so happy! Its a beautiful moment.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I wanted to be able to help any dog that I felt needed help, not only the dogs that were brought into facilities. Being able to create my own hours gives me the chance to help more animals.

When you think about a dog trainer, you all come onto this site with an idea of what you are looking for.
If you are reading and you have come here wanting a trainer who will scold your dog for jumping on the couch; peeing on the carpet; or crying in the crate; you are definitely not looking for a trainer like me.
If you have are reading this and you want to learn to train your pup in ways that both of you will enjoy; making sure your dog does not experience any feelings of anxiety or stress; and you bond with your pet during these sessions? I am happy to help you!
Every family is different, and every dog is different. For example: If you dont want your dog on the couchs and beds, I will help teach you how to train them to stay off of them. But if you want to snuggle them on your cozy surfaces; I am all for that; as my dog is a couch dog too!!!

I will supply you the materials you need on the very first day as well as supply you with the information that it will take for you to train your pup on your own!
If you have a brand new puppy, I will sit down with you and explain to you everything that goes on, what to expect and how to take care of them; from food; to potty training; to teething; to vet care. With rescues, and dogs who develop anxiety or emotional difficulties; I will spend hours in a quiet room silent playing different treat games with your dog. I will do whatever is needed to help your animal.
I pride myself on my patience, persistance, and my love of all of your animals as if they were my own.

I am happy to use zoom with clients! I send them everything they need in the mail before we begin so that they do not have to worry about anything!
