I've now eaten here three times and was very pleased with each. The atmosphere is very classy, warm and inviting, the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating and the food has always been fantastic. I especially enjoyed the short ribs, the beet salad and the dirty bird wings. It's hard to go wrong with this place. And afterward, or before, you can hangout upstairs for a coffee, games or art! This place has become a common go to for me as far as food goes. Happy hour is great in the bar area. Reasonable prices. Really good food. Brunch has a good menu though I wished they would switch it up every so often. It gets a little boring when they keep the same menu as we go way too often. One thing that took away from a five star review is the service. It really is a hit or miss. Some wait staff are amazing and others no so much. Well it would be easy to sum it up in one word.... YUMMY!   The drinks were cold and refreshing, the appetizers tasty and a window into what dinner would be.  What a dinner....well cooked, fresh ingredients, well seasoned, in other words delicious.   We had 3 different entrees and all were excellent.   We did finish up with a sweet dessert to share.   Last but not least I need to mention the excellent service that we got from Sherri.   She was very knowledgeable regarding the menu and provided excellent service through the dining experience.   I can't wait to come back again, soon.... there's so many delicious things on the menu that I can't wait to try! My wife and I had dinner at Cameo and had a fantastic experience.  We started with the Korean fried chicken appetizer, which was stellar.   We asked for extra sauce because the sauce was the star.  She had the Maple glazed salmon.  It was tasty and cooked perfect.  I had a beet salad, which was a great mix of tangy and sweet.  I had the Bouillabaisse for my main course and it was off the chain.  Sherry was our server and she was super attentive and helpful with menu suggestions.  A new stop for sure when we are in Rochester. We had the most excellent meal and service last night. I believe our servers name was Sheri. We will be back just to sit in her section. She was so very attentive and witty. She recommend a alcohol free cocktail to my husband when he ordered a soda, which he really enjoyed something different. Our meal, was nothing short of perfection. My husband had the short rib, and I the schnitzel, both perfect serving sizes and delicious. Their bread pudding is to die for, and complete with a cappuccino to finish the meal off. We honestly couldn't figure out, why there wasn't a wait on a Friday night. We will be back for sure and would recommend to anyone looking for a upbeat new & cozy atmosphere with wonderful food. Returned to Cameo last night to celebrate my mothers 98th Birthday. The food and drink was everything I anticipated it would be,  Excellent! !  I had the Pappardelle and another person had Chicken Pad Thai. We picked this for my brother's birthday. It had to have mac and cheese. But it had to please a picky eater and a foodie too. We were disappointed that the whole table had to participate to try the chef's tasting menu. My special needs brother couldn't eat that and the picky eater won't. We decided to spend our 26th wedding anniversary at Cameo for their “Date Night” special. It was the first time here and it was really good. I had been messaging with the owner about what was included for their menu so we decided to try it out. Started out with some complementary sparkling wine for our anniversary and then I had a glass a wine and my husband had the Pain Killer. We ordered the Burrata for our appetizer. Had a great experience at Cameo for dinner, it was so good we came back from brunch the next morning! Our server Dom was on point and had great suggestions. I started with the wings with dirty bird sauce and Carolina mustard on the side. Very flavorful sauce and good size wings. I moved on to the banh mi for my entree, which was also very good. I can't believe we haven't tried this place before.  It is close to downtown, a quiet, peaceful oasis, with great service and a very inventive menu.  There is an elevator for getting to the lower floor, but the windows still give a good view of the outdoors.He had a wonderful entree, and I had two appetizers...the ahi tuna tostado and the watermelon salad with added grilled shrimp.  We ended up splitting a wonderful piece of cheesecake decorated with a candied tuile. Wonderful! Made a reservation ahead of time as we knew we would be in town and wanted to try something new. Got a great booth that was much more private then others. 5 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Never had a bad meal here! The menu changes seasonally and features creative dishes. We have a large family with varying tastes and there is always something for everyone gathered. My husband especially enjoyed the Spicy Bowl and the burgers. The sweet potato curry is my fall back option, when there are too many great options to choose from. I wanted to give this place 4 stars because of some foibles with service, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. It's just so yummy here. We arrived at 4:45 and were told the dinner menu didn't start until 5. No biggie, except the host, who turned out to also be the bartender, seemed confused that we wanted to have a drink in the bar area and move to the dinner area at 5. We ended up just staying put to avoid the hassle. From the cocktails to the dessert, you just can't go wrong. The mojitos are lovely. I ordered the chicken schnitzel with spaetzle. I wasn't sure if this was wise (it's hard for some German restaurants to get this right), but the chicken was crispy as heck and the spaetzle was perfectly done. The Mr. got the pasta with bolognese and ate every bite. We ended with a passionfruit custard that should not be missed; the consistency of creme brûlée but with the tang of citrus.The host/bartender turned out to also be our server. I was really wishing he'd seated us in the main dining room as it was impossible to get his attention enough for a 3 course meal to go smoothly. We decided to try Cameo last night for dinner with friends. The first thing I want to say is that our waiter, Jeffrey, was excellent. He did a wonderful job of engaging people and his recommendations were spot on. We were a party six of for dinner and none of us had eaten here before. We tried two appetizers to bruschetta and the lettuce wrap tacos that were both excellent. The  bruschetta was one of the best I've ever eaten. The steak was so tender and literally melted in your mouth. I had the scallops which were excellent and my husband had the short ribs  which were one of the best he's ever eaten. For sides we tried the smoked with smoked Gouda potatoes, ricotta and lemon gnocchi and the Szechuan green beans all were excellent and  paired well with our meals.  The ricotta lemon gnocchi was superb.For dessert we had bread pudding which is probably one of the best bread pudding's I've ever eaten. There were six of us and we all had very good to excellent meals. We shared each other's dish and the taste of each dish was completely unique to itself. The Filet Bruschetta was awesome.
