Love this place!! No longer 24 hrs :-( ! Food is always excellent & portions are huge! The food is obviously homemade. The wait staff is awesome and treat you like family. Don't ever pass up the soup because it is delicious! Their Reuben sandwich is great, spinach pie is awesome, grilled chicken salad...grilled chicken anything...is exceptional. Callahan's is a great restaurant for straight ahead American comfort food. They make a remarkably good steak at their price point (I've paid more at "real" steakhouses for less) but this place shines for breakfast. The service is always good, but you should ask if Rachel is on duty and if you can be seated in her section. She's a standout, and one of the finest servers I've ever had. A real gem! More...

I started going to Callahan's Restaurant in 1993 and have gone there ever since. I Like the food especially the omelettes, I'm a breakfast person. Callahan attract some of everyone, young , old , etc... They have great deserts, you see the deserts as you enter the door, you wait to be seated, some vegetarian meals but not a lot. You have a view but it's of the street on one side and the parking lot on the back side, a lot of day's it's crowded and some day's it's not but it gets crowded at dinner time, a lot of people go to Callahan'.s. There is seating on the front and in the back, it's smoke free and was redecorated years back, it has handicap parking in the front, parking lot is a decent size but gets very crowded sometimes, you get your money's worth that's for sure. The waitresses are always friendly and helpful. Food comes out quickly. You get a lot of food for a good price. For example if you order the one egg, you actually get two eggs with home fries and two pieces of toast or pancakes all for $5.

I've been visiting Callahan's for 19 years now! The waitstaff are friendly, helpful, glad to see if something "special" can be made to order, and always keep your coffee topped off! Had a very nice breakfast. Service was really good, even though the place was packed.
My friend had scrambled eggs with feta and onions and she said they were perfect. I had a Belgian waffle. It was cooked wonderfully. I am used to them with a sweet batter, but it was still tasty.

This is the best "Mom & Pop" type of home-cooking restaurant in the area! The meals are an excellent value for the money: almost every sandwich or dish comes with soup & one or two other sides, the food is fresh & cooked-to-order, Romaine Lettuce is available, All-You-Can-eat Pollock is available on Fridays, & you will almost always leave with a box because the portions are so large! I know many servers by name, & they are genuinely friendly, helpful, & do their very best to make your dining experience pleasant & meet your expectations at Callahan's.
