What inspired you to start your own business?
I’ve been baking since I was old enough to hold a whisk and learned while baking with my great grandmother. For the majority of my life, I’ve kept to baking for family, friends, and personal enjoyment. I didn’t consider baking as profession because I mistakenly thought it would take the joy out of baking. In 2018 I started baking for the public to finance my children’s summer enrichment program enrollment and there’s been no looking back. Baking as a profession didn’t steal my joy it magnified it. The jubilation that I feel when I see a customer’s face light up at the sight of their cake or when I receive a text or DM that the cake surpassed all their expectations is absolutely the best feeling in the world.

My unique offering to this market is custom cakes and treats that taste as good as they look. Many of my customers comment that the cake looks amazing and tasted better than it looked. This is a hard combination and I am fortunate to have accomplished this goal.
