Hands down the most beautiful cake I've ever seen and the tastiest gourmet cake I've ever eaten. I had a strawberry shortcake "naked cake" for my baby shower. I gave my color scheme and vision for the cake based on my theme and my expectations were completely exceeded! I can not express how consistently impressed I am by everything happening under their delicious roof. This is the second time I'm ordering a cake - with a year gap, and it won't be the last. CGSS is hands down one of the best Cakerys in LA. My sons cakes were not only beautifully presented, but tasted beyond amazing. As an avid baker I am thoroughly impressed. Not to mention how the cake maintained its moist texture and velvet smooth buttercream days later. I can't recommend them enough. She gave me absolute freedom in which cake flavors and fillings I wanted too. The only downside is, I've been forced to share her details with the other mums and I have no control so actually consumed at least half the top tier alone - don't judge me!! All in all, I'm now looking for an excuse to order again, with such reasonable pricing and incredible product; I see no reason to not have more cake very soon. They're also a really lovely team!!! I chose this place based on the yelp reviews and they did not disappoint!! I ordered last minute, a week prior to my event, and they were so easy, sweet and accommodating! ! I had a unicorn themed birthday for my 5 year old and they made an amazing 2-tier unicorn cake and unicorn and rainbow sprinkle cake pops that were the cutest addition to the dessert table. Not only were the guests so awed by how awesome it looked, but they all loved how it tasted as well and commented how moist the cake was! On top of that, the service behind the beauty of the desserts shines just as equally if not more. To not have to worry about picking up the desserts, EV dropped everything off in perfect timing and I felt like I had one huge less burden off my list. Truly thankful for Tess and the amazing service that truly stands behind the delicious and beautiful presentation of the desserts. Thank you for a memorable birthday! I looked a lot for someone to make a cake that stands out and tastes great for a birthday. I came in from out of town and decided on going with Cake Gourmet Sugar Service. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! The cake looked amazing so much so that it pained all of us to cut it up and eat it that night. The cake was unreal and so good. They were very accommodating and completed every detail I asked for. coming from out of town, it was kind of last minute and they finished early and delivered it to my door. I used this company for my som's wedding. I live in Chicago, and the wedding was in Malibu. Â I gave the owner, EV Cassidy, some ideas as to the theme of the wedding and color scheme; however we never saw drawings or tasted anything prior to the wedding day. Â I left it all to her expertise. Â The wedding cake and sweet table were absolutely beautiful! Â I never envisioned it looking so gorgeous. Â Even though I don't like pictures of sweets, it was a picture that was a "must take." Â Not only were the sweets and cake artistically displayed and enticing, they all tasted absolutely delicious and incredibly yummy. Â The guests were raving about it all night, and it was definitely a focal point of the wedding. Â I would not hesitate to use this company again. Â Their set up was organized, expeditious, and unobtrusive. Â EV Cassidy was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and was professional and responsive. Â She knew the sweets that were the crowd pleasers and the exact number of each item to display on the table. Â I cannot rave enough about this company.
